  • Arrive at Ben-Gurion International Airport.
  • Stop at the Haas Promenade for a traditional “shehechiyanu” blessing of thanksgiving.
  • Check into the hotel.
  • Welcome Dinner at a local restaurant.

DAY 3
A CITY OF LAYERS
Fri. Jun 7, 2024
  • Tour Jerusalem’s Old City and the Jewish Quarter.
  • Among the highlights will be:
    • The Cardo, the main street of Roman-controlled Jerusalem and its Byzantine-era columns.
    • King Hezekiah’s “Broad Wall,” built to protect Jerusalem from invasion 2,700 years ago.
    • Hurva Square, the center of modern-day life in the Jewish Quarter.
    • Visit The Jerusalem Archaeological Park. 
  • Visit the Kotel (Western Wall).
  • Explore the Western Wall Tunnel.
  • Visit Machane Yehuda, an open-air market.
  • Return to the hotel.
  • Shabbat Dinner at the hotel.

DAY 4
INTO THE DESERT
Sat. Jun 8, 2024
  • Descend to the Dead Sea Basin.
  • Take the cable car to the top of Masada, where Jewish rebels are believed to have made their final attempt to resist Roman invaders (c 74 CE).
  • Float on the Dead Sea.
  • Hike in Nahal David, part of the Ein Gedi Nature Reserve.
  • Return to Jerusalem.
  • Mark the end of Shabbat with a communal Havdalah ceremony overlooking the Old City.

DAY 5
TAKING ACTION
Sun. Jun 9, 2024
  • Meet with IRAC activist and discus their work.
  • Tour the Yad B’Yad (Hand in Hand) school in Jerusalem, part of a network of bilingual, multicultural educational institutions which aim to show that Jewish and Arab communities can learn and live together.
  • Take part in an interactive archeological dig geared to all ages at the Beit Guvrin Caves.
  • Hike through Nahal Katlav in the Judean Hills.
  • Adults: Night out in Jerusalem.
  • Children: Games and pizza with youth staff.

DAY 6
THE POWER OF MEMORY
Mon. Jun 10, 2024
  • Check out of the hotel.
  • Adults: Visit Yad Vashem, the national memorial to the six million Jewish victims of the Holocaust. Your guided tour will include:
    • The Avenue of the Righteous.
    • The Historical Museum.
  • Children under 10:
    • Visit Jerusalem’s Biblical Zoo.
  • Depart Jerusalem and drive to the Upper Galilee.
  • Family water hike in the Majrase Nature Reserve by the Sea of Galilee.
  • Check into the hotel and have Dinner.

DAY 7
TO THE NORTH

  • Drive to the Upper Galilee.
  • Option 1:
    Enjoy a wine tasting at the boutique Pelter Winery.

    Enjoy a chocolate workshop at the De Karina Chocolate Factory on Kibbutz Ein Zivan, where you will take part in a tour and workshop and sample handmade premium chocolate.
  • Raft or kayak down the Jordan River.
  • Check into the hotel.
  • Shavout Dairy Dinner at the hotel.
  • Study session led by Rabbi Brown.

NATURE AND CELEBRATION

  • Walk along the Snir (Hatzbani) Stream, one of the tributaries of the Jordan River.

  • Check out of the hotel.
  • Visit Sindyanna of Galilee - a non-profit organization that is creating economic opportunities for Arab women, one of Israel’s most underemployed sectors - and sample some of their award-winning olive oil.
  • Guided visit to the ancient city of Caesarea.
  • Walk through the 2,000-year-old water tunnel at Park Alona, the water source for ancient Caesarea
  • Enter Tel Aviv, also known as “the city that never sleeps.”
  • Check into the hotel.

  • Stop at the Jaffa Overlook for an introduction to Tel Aviv.
  • Visit Ekron your Partner city.
  • Visit the Ayalon Institute near Rehovot and its secret ammunition factory.
  • Explore Nachalat Binyamin, Tel Aviv’s arts and crafts market before we move on to the Carmel Market.
  • Kabbalat Shabbat services at Soham, an inclusive Reform congregation led by Rabbi Rinat Tzfania.
  • Home hospitality Dinner.

SHABBAT IN TEL AVIV

  • Visit ANU - Museum of the Jewish People.

What to expect

  • 9 nights' accommodations. Late check out on the day of departure is included.
  • 10 days of touring with a tour educator (guide) in a luxury, air-conditioned bus.
  • Daily breakfast & 7 dinners.

  • All site entrance fees & program fees as per your final program.

  • Validity | All prices quoted are based on exchange rates as of the proposal date and are subject to change without notice. Rates are per person and are based on shared twin room occupancy.
  • How to Make a Reservation | The quickest way to make a reservation is to register online or contact us by email. We accept VISA, MasterCard, and American Express credit cards. A non-refundable deposit is required in order to complete the registration process.

  • Payments | The balance of your payment is due 90 days before your trip begins, or as specified in your invoice. You will receive an email reminder 2 weeks before this date. Various payment options are available as follows:
  • Credit card | We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express. Please check with your credit card provider regarding international processing fees. We are unable to process payments of over $1,000 over the phone. Please submit payment online via a credit card or by wiring funds via your bank.
  • Domestic bank wire transfer | Payment should be wired in the same currency that is listed on your invoice. Please add the name of your group or invoice number as a reference and forward a copy of the transfer receipt by email. The bank transfer should clearly state the beneficiary’s name on the wire transfer.

  • J² Adventures reserves the right to automatically cancel your reservation on that date and it may be subject to reconfirmation should the final payment not be received.
  • Cancelation Policy | All cancelations need to be made in writing. The cancelation fee depends on the date when we receive written notification of your request to cancel your booking. Please note that the deposit is non-refundable.
  • Cancelation fees | Cancelations made 90 or more days prior to departure incur the loss of the deposit. Cancelations made 89 to 46 days prior to departure incur the loss of 50% of the full trip cost. Cancelations made 45 days or less prior to the departure incur the loss of 100% of the full trip cost.
  • Cancelation fees may also include: Hotel or supplier cancelation fees. J² Adventures reserves the right to adjust its terms of payment, including cancelation policies and initial deposits. Please refer to the small print tab on your trip’s webpage or in your proposal for your cancelation policy and fees.
