WELCOME TO ISRAEL
Thu. May 30, 2024
  • Arrive at Ben Gurion International Airport.
  • Enter Tel Aviv and check into the hotel.
  • Meet your tour educator who will accompany you on this journey of education and inspiration.
  • Enjoy a welcome dinner at a local restaurant.

DAY 3
THE FIRST HEBREW CITY
Fri. May 31, 2024
  • Walk along Independence Trail in Tel Aviv.
  • Join locals lunching at the Carmel Market, with food options from all over the Mediterranean and the Middle East. Use our voucher system to get your own taste of Tel Aviv.
  • Explore Nachalat Binyamin, Tel Aviv’s arts and crafts market.
  • Return to the hotel to prepare for Shabbat.
  • Participate in Kabbalat Shabbat services at Kehillat Beit Daniel in Tel Aviv, led by Rabbi Meir Azari.
  • Enjoy a festive Shabbat dinner at the hotel.

DAY 4
SHABBAT IN TEL AVIV

  • Visit the Ayalon Institute near Rehovot and its secret ammunition factory.
  • Join an expert on Tel Aviv’s alternative scene for an urban adventure and graffiti tour.  
  • Visit ANU - Museum of the Jewish People, which is dedicated to telling the ongoing story of the Jewish people.
  • Mark the end of Shabbat with a communal Havdalah ceremony.

DAY 5
MAKING OUR MARK
Sun. Jun 2, 2024
  • Check out of the hotel.
  • Enjoy a guided visit to the ancient city of Caesarea. Walk through the 2,000-year-old water tunnel at Park Alona, the water source for ancient Caesarea.
  • Visit Kfar Kedem in the Galilee for a hands-on family experience, exploring Jewish life of 2,000 years ago, including donkey rides, costumes, and pita baking.
  • Continue to the Upper Galilee hotel for check-in, followed by dinner.

DAY 6
NATURE AND SECURITY IN THE NORTH
Mon. Jun 3, 2024
  • Take a nature walk along the Banias Stream, the second largest source of the Jordan River.
  • Cool off and raft or kayak down the Jordan River.
  • Visit a village at the Golan and meet Israel’s Druze community.
  • We'll gaze across the Golan and into Syria from the top of Mount Bental.
  • Enjoy a chocolate workshop at the De Karina Chocolate Factory on Kibbutz Ein Zivan, where you will take part in a tour and workshop and sample handmade premium chocolate.
  • Return to the hotel for dinner.

MYSTICS, DREAMERS, & PIONEERS

  • Check out of the hotel.
  • Go for a jeep tour of the Golan Heights.
  • Spend time in Tsfat, where you will:
    • Meet with David Friedman, a Tsfat artist inspired by Kabbalah.
    • Visit the Ari Synagogue.
    • See the Caro Synagogue, built originally, like the Ari Synagogue, in the 16th century.
    • Walk through the Artists’ Colony.
  • Depart for Jerusalem.
  • Stop at the Kotel (Western Wall) for a traditional “shehechiyanu” blessing of thanksgiving.
  • Check into the hotel.

DAY 8
I DIG ISRAEL
Wed. Jun 5, 2024
  • Join the volunteer organization Leket Israel and pick fruits and vegetables for those in need.
  • Take part in an interactive archeological dig geared to all ages at the Beit Guvrin Caves.
  • Drive by Tel Azeka, the site of David’s biblical battle against Goliath.
  • Check out how the locals let their hair down during a free evening and explore Jerusalem's nightlife.

DAY 9
PASSAGES IN TIME
Thu. Jun 6, 2024
  • Celebrate with pride and togetherness a Bnei Mitzvah ceremony in a beautiful, historic Israeli location. Mazal Tov! 
  • Tour Jerusalem’s Old City and the Jewish Quarter.
  • Among the highlights will be:
    • A climb to the rooftops, overlooking the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, the golden Dome of the Rock, and the famous Hurva Synagogue.
    • The Cardo, the main street of Roman-controlled Jerusalem and its Byzantine-era columns.
    • King Hezekiah’s “Broad Wall,” built to protect Jerusalem from invasion 2,700 years ago.
    • Hurva Square, the center of modern-day life in the Jewish Quarter.
    • Enjoy photo opportunities at Live the Bible.
    • Visit the Jerusalem Archaeological Park, including the Davidson Center and Robinson’s Arch.
  • Continue to the Kotel (Western Wall) to experience the special atmosphere of this holy site.
  • Explore the Western Wall Tunnel, the underground continuation of the Kotel, and examine important archaeological discoveries that are revising our understanding of daily life in ancient Jerusalem.

DAY 10
THE POWER OF MEMORY
Fri. Jun 7, 2024
  • Visit Yad Vashem, the national memorial to the six million Jewish victims of the Holocaust. Your guided tour will include:
    • The Historical Museum.
    • The Avenue of the Righteous.
    • Experience Mahane Yehuda, where locals enjoy the hustle and bustle of Jerusalem's iconic largest open-air market.
  • Return to the hotel to prepare for Shabbat.
  • Enjoy Kabbalat Shabbat services at Kehillat Mevasseret in Mevasseret Zion, led by Alona Nir-Keren.
  • Share a home hospitality Shabbat dinner with local congregants or a Shabbat dinner at the hotel.

DAY 11
DEAD SEA
Sat. Jun 8, 2024
  • Climb via the Snake Path OR via the Roman Ramp OR take the cable car to the top of Masada.
  • Float on the Dead Sea.
  • Hike in Nahal David, part of the Ein Gedi Nature Reserve.
  • Return to Jerusalem and to the hotel for a late check-out.
  • Enjoy a farewell dinner and final words. Then transfer to Ben Gurion Airport.

What to expect

  • 9 nights' accommodations. Late check out on the day of departure is included.
  • 10 days of touring with a tour educator (guide) in a luxury, air-conditioned bus.
  • Daily breakfast, 1 lunch & 6 dinners.
  • Water on the bus.
  • Porterage at the hotels.
  • All site entrance fees & program fees as per your final program.
  • Credit card fees.
  • Flights to & from Israel.
  • COVID related expenses, including tests.
  • Evening transportation when dinner is not included.
  • Amendments to the program: In the event that any sites, programs or meals etc. are added to the program, an additional fee may be required.

  • Validity | All prices quoted are based on exchange rates as of the proposal date and are subject to change without notice. Rates are per person and are based on shared twin room occupancy.
  • How to Make a Reservation | The quickest way to make a reservation is to register online or contact us by email. We accept VISA, MasterCard, and American Express credit cards. A non-refundable deposit is required in order to complete the registration process.

  • Payments | The balance of your payment is due 90 days before your trip begins, or as specified in your invoice. You will receive an email reminder 2 weeks before this date. Various payment options are available as follows:
  • Credit card | We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express. Please check with your credit card provider regarding international processing fees. We are unable to process payments of over $1,000 over the phone. Please submit payment online via a credit card or by wiring funds via your bank.
  • Domestic bank wire transfer | Payment should be wired in the same currency that is listed on your invoice. Please add the name of your group or invoice number as a reference and forward a copy of the transfer receipt by email. The bank transfer should clearly state the beneficiary’s name on the wire transfer.

  • Cancelation Policy | All cancelations need to be made in writing. The cancelation fee depends on the date when we receive written notification of your request to cancel your booking. Please note that the deposit is non-refundable.
  • Cancelation fees | Cancelations made 90 or more days prior to departure incur the loss of the deposit. Cancelations made 89 to 46 days prior to departure incur the loss of 50% of the full trip cost. Cancelations made 45 days or less prior to the departure incur the loss of 100% of the full trip cost.
  • Cancelation fees may also include: Hotel or supplier cancelation fees. J² Adventures reserves the right to adjust its terms of payment, including cancelation policies and initial deposits.
