WELCOME TO ISRAEL
Mon. Jun 24, 2024
  • Arrive at Ben-Gurion International Airport.
  • Meet your tour educator who will accompany you on this journey of education and inspiration.
  • Welcome dinner at the hotel.
  • Israel 101 – learn about the basics of Israel, its people, history, and geography, followed by an orientation to your trip with your tour educator.

DAY 3
OLD & NEW
Tue. Jun 25, 2024
  • Check out of the hotel.
  • Stop at the Jaffa Overlook for an introduction to Tel Aviv and to our journey in Israel.
  • Walk along the independence Trail in Tel Aviv and embark on a remarkable journey that begins with the founding of Tel Aviv in 1909 and ends with the establishment of Israel in 1948.
  • Explore Nachalat Binyamin, Tel Aviv’s arts and crafts market before we move on to the Carmel Market.
  • Visit Nazareth and walk through the colorful marketplace to the Church of the Annunciation.
  • Join an Israeli Arab family at their home to talk, over tea and coffee, about their lives and to join them for a GalilEat cooking workshop, followed by a traditional dinner.
  • Check into the hotel.

DAY 4
THE STILL, SMALL VOICE

  • Visit Caesarea Philippi (Banias), the site where Jesus revealed his mission.
  • Go for a jeep tour of the Golan Heights.
  • Spend time in Tsfat, where you will:
    • Meet with David Friedman, a Tsfat artist inspired by Kabbalah.
    • Visit the Ari Synagogue.
    • See the Caro Synagogue, built originally, like the Ari Synagogue, in the 16th century.
    • Walk through the Artists’ Colony.
  • Return to the hotel for dinner.

DAY 5
THE SEA OF GALILEE
Thu. Jun 27, 2024
  • Check out of the hotel.
  • Explore the Sea of Galilee, a center of early Christianity. We’ll visit:
    • The Mount of Beatitudes.
    • Capernaum.
    • Tabgha, the site where Jesus turned a few fish and loaves into a meal for thousands.
    • Cruise the Sea of Galilee on a boat inspired by the fishing vessels used here 2,000 years ago.
  • Drive along the coast and back in time to Caesarea, one of the Land of Israel's most important cities during the Roman Period.
  • Drive to Jerusalem and check into the hotel.

DAY 6
A CITY OF LAYERS
Fri. Jun 28, 2024
  • Explore Mt. Zion:
    • Visit the Upper Room.
    • Visit King David’s Tomb.
    • See the nearby Abbey of the Dormition.
  • Tour Jerusalem’s Old City and the Jewish Quarter.
  • Among the highlights will be:
    • A climb to the rooftops, overlooking the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, the golden Dome of the Rock, and the famous Hurva Synagogue.
    • The Cardo, the main street of Roman-controlled Jerusalem and its Byzantine-era columns.
    • King Hezekiah’s “Broad Wall,” built to protect Jerusalem from invasion 2,700 years ago. Hurva Square, the center of modern-day life in the Jewish Quarter.
    • Visit The Jerusalem Archaeological Park.
  • Visit the Kotel (Western Wall), widely considered Judaism’s holiest site. We’ll discuss the wall’s historical and contemporary importance and experience its unique atmosphere.
  • The City of Shabbat - experience Kabbalat Shabbat at a local Reform Synagogue.
  • Festive dinner at the hotel.

DAY 7
THE DEAD SEA BASIN
Sat. Jun 29, 2024
  • Take the cable car to the top of Masada.
  • Float into happiness on the Dead Sea where the feeling of weightlessness is great fun.
  • Time permitting - Visit Qumran, where the Dead Sea Sect established a community and the caves where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found.
  • Continue to Kasser Al Yahud, the spot where Christians believe the baptism of Jesus took place.
  • Return to the hotel.

DREAMERS & STONES

  • Attend church services.
  • View Jerusalem from the crest of Mt. of Olives.
  • Descend to the Garden of Gethsemane.
  • Discover multiple faiths in the Old City, including the Via Dolorosa and the Church of the Holy Sepulcher.
  • Tour the Old City’s Christian quarter and explore inter-religious relations with Hana Bendcowsky, Director of the Jerusalem Center for Jewish-Christian Relations.

DAY 9
MEMORY NEAR AND FAR
Mon. Jul 1, 2024
  • Visit Yad Vashem, the national memorial to the six million Jewish victims of the Holocaust.
  • Experience the sights, smells, and tastes of Jerusalem while walking through the Mahane Yehuda open-air market.
  • Explore Bethlehem, a Palestinian town on the West Bank and, as the birthplace of Jesus, one of Christianity’s great places of pilgrimage.
  • Visit the Church of the Nativity, which since it was built around 339 has been one of the holiest Sites in Christendom.
  • Explore the geopolitics of Jerusalem with site visits and discussions on key issues.

A MOSAIC OF A CITY
Tue. Jul 2, 2024
  • Visit the Temple Mount, the site of the First and Second Temples, and today the location of the Dome of the Rock and the Al-Aqsa Mosque, the third holiest in Islam.
  • Explore the Western Wall Tunnel, the underground continuation of the Kotel, and examine important archaeological discoveries that are revising our understanding of daily life in ancient Jerusalem.
  • Visit the Garden Tomb. It houses an ancient tomb many believe is the site of Jesus' burial and resurrection.
  • Late check out.
  • Explore the Israel Museum, housing more than 5,000 years of cultural treasures.
  • Farewell dinner at a local restaurant.

  • 8 nights' accommodations. Late check out on the day of departure is included.
  • 9 days of touring with a tour educator (guide), in a luxury, air-conditioned bus.

  • Validity | All prices quoted are based on exchange rates as of the proposal date and are subject to change without notice. Rates are per person and are based on shared twin room occupancy.
  • How to Make a Reservation | The quickest way to make a reservation is to register online or contact us by email. We accept VISA, MasterCard, and American Express credit cards. A non-refundable deposit is required in order to complete the registration process.
  • For any assistance with this registration process or other trip-related queries, please email Customer Care: [email protected].
  • Payments | The balance of your payment is due 90 days before your trip begins, or as specified in your invoice. You will receive an email reminder 2 weeks before this date. Various payment options are available as follows:
  • Credit card | We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express. Please check with your credit card provider regarding international processing fees. We are unable to process payments of over $1,000 over the phone. Please submit payment online via a credit card or by wiring funds via your bank.
  • Domestic bank wire transfer | Payment should be wired in the same currency that is listed on your invoice. Please add the name of your group or invoice number as a reference and forward a copy of the transfer receipt by email. The bank transfer should clearly state the beneficiary’s name on the wire transfer.
  • J² Adventures reserves the right to automatically cancel your reservation on that date and it may be subject to reconfirmation should the final payment not be received.
  • Cancelation Policy | All cancelations need to be made in writing. The cancelation fee depends on the date when we receive written notification of your request to cancel your booking. Please note that the deposit is non-refundable.
  • Cancelation fees | Cancelations made 90 or more days prior to departure incur the loss of the deposit. Cancelations made 89 to 46 days prior to departure incur the loss of 50% of the full trip cost. Cancelations made 45 days or less prior to the departure incur the loss of 100% of the full trip cost.
  • Cancelation fees may also include: Hotel or supplier cancelation fees. J² Adventures reserves the right to adjust its terms of payment, including cancelation policies and initial deposits.
