- Light layers – Evenings can be cool (15°C–25°C/59°F–77°F daytime).
- Rain jacket or compact umbrella – Sudden showers are common.
- Sunscreen & sunglasses – Long daylight hours.
- Insect repellent – For forests and lakes.
- Winter (November–March)
- Heavy coat – Temperatures can drop to -20°C/-4°F inland.
- Thermal layers & gloves – Essential for outdoor walks.
- Waterproof boots – Snow and slush in cities and countryside.
- Lip balm & moisturizer – Dry indoor heating and cold winds.
- Spring & Autumn
- Layered clothing – Weather changes quickly; waterproof outerwear recommended.
- Sturdy shoes – For muddy trails and rural roads.
- Use a website such as weather.com to find average temperatures and rainfall during your travel time.
