- Arrive at Warsaw Chopin Airport, where individual arrival transfers will greet you and bring you directly to your hotel for a smooth and comfortable start.
- 11:00 a.m. Meet your J² Expert Educator at the hotel for an introduction to Warsaw, the itinerary ahead, and the extraordinary 1,000-year arc of Jewish life in Poland.
- Visit the Nożyk Synagogue, Warsaw's only surviving pre-war synagogue and a living center of Jewish life today.
- Meet Chief Rabbi Michael Schudrich for an intimate conversation about Jewish Warsaw - its revival, challenges, and hopes for the future.
- Walk through the monumental Okopowa Street Jewish Cemetery, where gravestones and mausoleums tell the stories of rabbis, activists, writers, and everyday citizens who shaped Jewish Warsaw.
- Check into your hotel and freshen up before Shabbat.
- Join the local progressive community of Ec Chaim Synagogue for uplifting Kabbalat Shabbat services.

- Trace the history of the Warsaw Ghetto, culminating at the powerful Rappaport Memorial, honoring the heroes of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising.
- Stand at the Umschlagplatz, the deportation point for 265,000 Jews sent to extermination camps - a place of memory and solemn reflection.
- Learn about the audacious resistance of the Ringelblum Archive at the Jewish Historical Institute, documenting daily life in the Ghetto with extraordinary courage.
- Enjoy lunch on your own at the buzzy Norblin Factory, a renovated industrial complex offering everything from Polish street food to global bites.
- At the POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews, journey through ten dynamic centuries of Jewish life - from medieval merchants to the vibrancy of interwar culture and today’s revival.
- Unwind with a Polish cocktail and vodka workshop, discovering local distillation traditions and sampling craft liqueurs that reflect Poland’s regional tastes.
- Mark the end of Shabbat with a group havdalah ceremony.
- Optional: Evening walk through Warsaw’s Old Town, rebuilt stone by stone after wartime destruction. Wander past cafés, squares, and historic streets that whisper stories of the Jewish presence that once animated them.
- Free time for dinner.
- Check out and drive to Lublin.
- Visit the Majdanek Concentration and Extermination Camp, an unflinching encounter with the machinery of the Holocaust. Walk through original barracks, the crematorium and gas chambers, and the Mausoleum of Ashes - an experience of profound gravity.
- Walk under the Grodzka Gate, once the threshold between Lublin’s Christian Old Town and Jewish Quarter - now a symbol of coexistence, memory, and absence.
- Check into your hotel.
- Explore Yeshivat Chachmei Lublin, once the largest and most prestigious yeshiva in the world - so influential that Lublin was nicknamed the “Jewish Oxford.”
- Enjoy dinner at Hotel Ilan, located within the historic yeshiva building itself. Savor Polish dishes with modern touches while reflecting on the scholars who once learned within these very walls.
- Check out and drive to Krakow.
- Discover Krakow through a lively tasting tour, sampling local specialties - from artisanal breads and pierogi to contemporary Polish cuisine - while getting to know the city’s culture through its flavors.
- Stroll through Kazimierz, Krakow’s historic Jewish quarter, with your Educator:
- Altshul – Poland’s oldest synagogue, built in the 15th century.
- Rema Synagogue – home of Rabbi Moses Isserles, still active today.
- Rema Cemetery – burial place of the Rema and other great rabbis.
- Tempel Synagogue – now a hub for cultural and artistic events.
- Visit the Galicia Jewish Museum, which sheds light on the Jewish past and present through moving photography and contemporary exhibitions.
- Check into your hotel and enjoy the rest of the evening at leisure - perhaps exploring Krakow’s vibrant cafés, wine bars, or riverfront promenade.
- Depart for the Auschwitz–Birkenau complex, the largest Nazi concentration and extermination camp.
- Tour Auschwitz I, now a museum, with exhibits that preserve artifacts, testimonies, and stories of survival and loss.
- Continue to Birkenau, preserved largely as it was, where vast open fields and remnants of barracks evoke the scale and horror of the genocide.
- Group lunch en route.
- Visit the restored Oświęcim Synagogue, a powerful example of a Jewish community that once thrived just miles from Auschwitz.
- Return to Krakow.
- Gather for a community dinner at the Krakow JCC, where we’ll hear from Director Jonathan Ornstein and meet local leaders helping rebuild Jewish life in the city.
- Enjoy a leisurely tour of Krakow’s Old Town, including views of Wawel Castle and one of Europe’s grandest Market Squares.
- Immerse yourself in the Jewish Culture Festival, one of the world’s largest celebrations of Jewish art, music, learning, and creativity. Take in live performances, artisan markets, and workshops that showcase the best of global Jewish culture.
- Gather for a festive farewell dinner at Szara Ges, one of Krakow’s top culinary destinations. Enjoy refined Polish-European cuisine while sharing reflections and highlights from your journey.
- Check out of the hotel. Individual departure transfers will bring you comfortably and conveniently to Krakow Airport for your return flight to the U.S.

- Validity | All prices quoted are based on exchange rates as of the proposal date and are subject to change without notice. Rates are per person and are based on shared twin room occupancy.
- How to Make a Reservation | The quickest way to make a reservation is to register online or contact us by email. We accept VISA, MasterCard, and American Express credit cards. A non-refundable deposit of $500 is required in order to complete the registration process.

- Payments | The balance of your payment is due 90 days before your trip begins, or as specified in your invoice. You will receive an email reminder 2 weeks before this date. Various payment options are available as follows:
- Credit card | We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express. Please check with your credit card provider regarding international processing fees. We are unable to process payments of over $1,000 over the phone. Please submit payment online via a credit card or by wiring funds via your bank.
- Domestic bank wire transfer | Payment should be wired in the same currency that is listed on your invoice. Please add the name of your group or invoice number as a reference and forward a copy of the transfer receipt by email. The bank transfer should clearly state the beneficiary’s name on the wire transfer.
- J² Adventures reserves the right to automatically cancel your reservation on that date and it may be subject to reconfirmation should the final payment not be received.
- Cancelation Policy | All cancelations need to be made in writing. The cancelation fee depends on the date when we receive written notification of your request to cancel your booking. Please note that the deposit is non-refundable.
- Cancelation fees | Cancelations made 90 or more days prior to departure incur the loss of the deposit. Cancelations made 89 to 46 days prior to departure incur the loss of 50% of the full trip cost. Cancelations made 45 days or less prior to the departure incur the loss of 100% of the full trip cost.
- Cancelation fees may also include: Hotel or supplier cancelation fees. J² Adventures reserves the right to adjust its terms of payment, including cancelation policies and initial deposits.
- This journey includes walking tours, cultural site visits, and hotel stays that may involve uneven terrain, stairs, and longer distances on foot. While we do our best to accommodate a range of mobility levels, a moderate level of physical fitness is recommended to fully enjoy the experience. - Protect yourself from fraud by being cautious and vigilant when it comes to online theft. It is crucial to note that J² adventures will never send an email requesting you to transfer funds to a new account or to redirect a payment. We will never alter our account number or issue additional payment requests without first personally speaking to you and properly identifying ourselves. If you feel uncertain about any communication (scammers often impersonate legitimate companies via e-mail or by calling), halt and contact us directly through our toll-free number listed on our website to discuss any necessary payments. Refrain from responding to suspicious emails or clicking on links or attachments unless you are completely certain of their legitimacy. By following these guidelines and staying vigilant, you can significantly reduce your risk of becoming a victim of fraud.
