DAY 1
SETTING OUT

  • Depart for Israel.

DAY 2
FIRST STEPS IN ISRAEL
Tue. Feb 27, 2024
  • Arrive at Ben-Gurion International Airport and transfer on own to Tel Aviv.
  • Check in to the hotel (rooms will be available from 3:00 p.m.).
  • 6:00 p.m. Meet your J² Expert Educator, Uri Feinberg, in the lobby of the hotel.
  • Opening dinner at the hotel and welcome remarks by Orly Erez-Likhovski, Executive Director of IRAC.
  • Meet with Dr. Dahlia Scheindlin, international strategic and political consultant, scholar and writer.

DAY 3
BRING THEM HOME NOW
Wed. Feb 28, 2024
  • Israeli farmers need help now more than ever. Farmers around Israel are currently serving on the front. Farm hands are not available to cover the needs. Volunteer and keep Israeli agriculture up and running.
  • Lunch on own.
  • Travel to Shfayim, which has become home to many members of Kibbutz Kfar Aza following October 7th. Hear from Amir Tibon - a well-known journalist for Haaretz newspaper - and a resident of Nahal Oz. What happened on October 7? And what needs to be done?
  • Speak with Rabbi Yael Vurgan about their ongoing work for community building and repair.
  • Drive to Jerusalem.
  • Afternoon meeting at the HUC campus.
  • October 7th and Thoughts on the Day After: Meet with Yair Golan, former IDF Deputy Chief of Staff and former MK from the Meretz Party.
  • Return to Tel Aviv.

DAY 4
THE SEVENTH OF OCTOBER
Thu. Feb 29, 2024
  • Depart Tel Aviv and drive South.
  • Travel to Rahat, Israel's largest Bedouin town. Meet with Kher Elbaz to discuss the unique place of Israeli Bedouins in the Israel-Hamas War and the pioneering social and educational efforts that are being made for the community.
  • Drive West through the Negev to the Gaza Envelope.
  • Visit Re'im, the site of the Nova Music Festival.
  • Stop in Sderot for a lookout in to Gaza.
  • Lunch on own in Sderot.
  • Chen Kotler will accompany you at Kibbutz Kfar Aza to share a day burnt into our memories.
  • Return to Tel Aviv and meet with MK Rabbi Gilad Kariv, former Executive Director of IMPJ.

DAY 5
TO COMFORT AND BE COMFORTED
Fri. Mar 1, 2024
  • Depart the hotel for the day.
  • Visit Israel's largest civilian relief center at the Tel Aviv Expo. The relief center is organized and run by volunteers from "Brothers and Sisters in Arms" - one of the leading organizations of reserve soldiers and officers who headed the 2023 protest movement. We will meet with Ronen Koehler, former submarine commander and one of the leading voices of Achim Laneshek.
  • Drive to Modi'in and meet with Rabbi David Azulai of Kehilat Yozma to hear about the community's volunteer work during the war and his recent personal experiences of officiating military funerals.
  • Kabbalat Shabbat and Home Hospitality Shabbat dinner with Kehilat V'Ahavta in Shoham led by Rabbi Rinat Safania.
  • Return to Tel Aviv.

DAY 6
SHABBAT - STRENGTH, SPIRIT, COMMUNITY

  • Morning services followed by learning with MARAM rabbis.
  • Shabbat Lunch at Mishkenot Ruth.
  • Walking tour of Jaffa.
  • Wrapping Up: Reflect what we are taking home, and how we are moving ahead.
  • Late checkout of the hotel.
  • Havdalah at Hostages Square.
  • Closing dinner in Tel Aviv.
  • Depart for Ben Gurion International Airport and check in for departure flight.

What to expect

  • 4 nights' accommodations. Late check out on the day of departure is included.
  • 6 days of touring with a J² Expert Educator (guide), 6 days of touring in a luxury, air-conditioned bus.
  • Daily breakfast, 3 dinners.
  • The J² adventures App available on the App Store & on Google Play (active 7 days before your departure and throughout your trip).
  • Water on the bus.
  • Porterage at the hotels.
  • All site entrance fees & program fees as per your final program.
  • Credit card fees.
  • Flights to & from Israel.
  • Late check out past 6:00 p.m. on March 2.
  • COVID related expenses, including tests.
  • Evening transportation when dinner is not included.
  • Amendments to the program: In the event that any sites, programs or meals etc. are added to the program, an additional fee may be required.
  • Personal extras: Items of personal nature such as laundry, wines, mineral water, beverages, coffee, tea, food other than the table d’hotel menu, passport and visa fees, insurance, and foreign port taxes, unless otherwise specified.
  • Gratuities: Recommend guidelines for tipping are provided in the terms section.
  • US and foreign airport taxes, Q fuel surcharge and border taxes when applicable.
  • Value Added Tax is currently not applicable to tourists visiting Israel. Should the law change, you will be notified accordingly, and VAT will be added to your final invoice.

  • Validity | All prices quoted are based on exchange rates as of the proposal date and are subject to change without notice. Rates are per person and are based on shared twin room occupancy.
  • How to Make a Reservation | The quickest way to make a reservation is to register online or contact us by email. We accept VISA, MasterCard, and American Express credit cards. A non-refundable deposit of $500 is required in order to complete the registration process.

  • Payments | The balance of your payment is due on February 12. You will receive an email reminder 2 weeks before this date. Various payment options are available as follows:
  • Credit card | We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express. Please check with your credit card provider regarding international processing fees. We are unable to process payments of over $1,000 over the phone. Please submit payment online via a credit card or by wiring funds via your bank.
  • Domestic bank wire transfer | Payment should be wired in the same currency that is listed on your invoice. Please add the name of your group or invoice number as a reference and forward a copy of the transfer receipt by email. The bank transfer should clearly state the beneficiary’s name on the wire transfer.
  • J² Adventures reserves the right to automatically cancel your reservation on that date and it may be subject to reconfirmation should the final payment not be received.
  • Cancelation Policy | All cancelations need to be made in writing. The cancelation fee depends on the date when we receive written notification of your request to cancel your booking. Please note that the deposit is non-refundable.
  • Cancelation fees | Cancelations made 45 days or less prior to the departure incur the loss of 100% of the full trip cost.
  • Cancelation fees may also include: Hotel or supplier cancelation fees. J² Adventures reserves the right to adjust its terms of payment, including cancelation policies and initial deposits.
  • Mobility: Solidarity missions are specifically strenuous, and our visits include places that are inaccessible to people who may have mobility challenges. You should be in good health and able to walk reasonable distances, often over unpaved and uneven surfaces. PLEASE NOTE: In some cases you may need to run to a shelter, if you have questions regarding this matter please speak to a J² representative.
