  • Travel to Jerusalem, pausing at a scenic overlook for a first breathtaking view of the Old City - a moment to absorb the layers of history, holiness, and hope that define it - and join together in reciting the 'Shehecheyanu' blessing to mark your arrival in the Holy City.
  • Check in to your Jerusalem hotel and take time to settle in before the days of exploration ahead.

  • Discover the new Israel National Library, where centuries of Jewish creativity and scholarship come alive through one of the world’s most remarkable collections of Jewish and Israeli literature and culture.
  • Take time to explore Jerusalem’s lively Mahane Yehuda Market, where you’ll immerse yourself in the vibrant sights, sounds, and scents of this dynamic hub. Wander through the colorful stalls and savor the flavors of the city’s diverse and dynamic culinary scene.
  • Meet with Hamutal Gouri, founder and CEO of Consult4Good: Wisdom for Social Change, for an engaging conversation about women’s leadership, equality, and the evolving landscape of gender issues in Israel today.

COMMUNITIES PAST AND PRESENT

  • Meet with dedicated volunteers at the Jerusalem Rape Crisis Center, learning about their compassionate efforts to support survivors and advance awareness, empowerment, and change.
  • No visit to Israel is complete without standing at the Kotel (Western Wall), Judaism’s holiest site, where generations have come to pray and place their hopes and blessings between its ancient stones; together, we’ll explore its history, meaning, and enduring power in Jewish life today.
  • Gather at Azrat Yisrael, the egalitarian prayer space at the Western Wall, for a heartfelt moment of prayer, reflection, and shared hope for an inclusive and evolving Jewish future.
  • Explore the Jewish Quarter, the heart of Jerusalem’s ancient and modern Jewish life - walk the Roman-era Cardo, stand before King Hezekiah’s Broad Wall, and gather in Hurva Square, where the rhythm of Jewish continuity and renewal beats strong.
  • Wander through the vibrant Old City Shuk, where colorful stalls, fragrant spices, and local delicacies invite you to experience Jerusalem’s rich cultural mosaic; enjoy lunch on your own amid the lively atmosphere.
  • Climb to the rooftops of the Old City and take in its breathtaking panorama while exploring the complex ties and shared stories of Jerusalem’s faith communities - overlooking the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, the golden Dome of the Rock, and the Hurva Synagogue.
  • Connect with activists from Metzilot Mazon, a women-led initiative dedicated to food rescue and food security, and lend a hand by helping sort and pack rescued produce to support families in need.

REDEMPTION AND RELIEF

  • Check out of your hotel and travel south towards the Gaza Envelope region.
  • Walk through Kibbutz Nir Oz and meet a resident, who will share their community’s story of the October 7 attack, its aftermath, and the collective efforts to heal, rebuild, and move forward.
  • Stop at Givat HaTzofaniyot (Observers’ Hill) and hear powerful stories of women in the military and civilians impacted by October 7, reflecting on courage, equity, and leadership in Israeli society.
  • Continue to Sderot, the largest city in the Gaza Envelope, for lunch on your own and the opportunity to speak with residents about daily life, strength, and endurance in the face of ongoing uncertainty.
  • Visit the Eden Association, a pioneering center supporting women and girls coping with trauma, and meet CEO Ronit Shoval, who will share how Eden’s innovative model - rooted in art, storytelling, and compassion—has expanded to meet the emotional needs of survivors since October 7.
  • Pay your respects at the Nova Festival Memorial at Kibbutz Re’im, honoring the young lives lost in the tragic attack that transformed a weekend of joy into heartbreak, and reflect at the moving memorial created by families and friends - a space that carries the promise, “We Will Dance Again.”
  • Devote time to reflection and processing the day’s experiences with your tour leader and educator.

  • Enjoy lunch on your own in Zichron Ya’akov, a charming hilltop town rooted in early Zionist history, where cobblestone streets are lined with cafés, galleries, and boutiques.
  • Meet Ayula, one of Israel’s first female glassblowers, and take part in a hands-on glassblowing workshop as she shares how creativity, artistry, and resilience intertwine in her craft.
  • Savor a curated wine tasting at a boutique winery nestled in the Carmel Hills, where fine Israeli wines meet stories of land, heritage, and connection shared over a glass.

  • Herstory Tel Aviv - Discover the untold stories of pioneering women who shaped the city's cultural, political, and social fabric - from early Zionist feminists and labor leaders to contemporary artists and activists - through visits to key landmarks, women-led initiatives, and guided storytelling that centers female voices in the narrative of Israel’s most vibrant city.
  • Wander through Nahalat Binyamin, Tel Aviv’s lively open-air arts and crafts market, where local artisans showcase handmade jewelry, textiles, and creative designs.
  • Explore the vibrant Carmel Market, alive with colorful produce, spices, and flavors that reflect the diversity and energy of Israeli cuisine.
  • Pause at the Jaffa Lookout, taking in sweeping views of Tel Aviv’s coastline and skyline - where ancient history meets modern vitality.
  • Return to the hotel to rest and prepare for Shabbat.
  • Welcome Shabbat with Kabbalat Shabbat services at Kehilat V’ahavta, an inclusive Reform congregation in Shoham led by Rabbi Rinat Safania-Shwartz, joining the community in prayer and song.

    • Validity | All prices quoted are based on exchange rates as of the proposal date and are subject to change without notice. Rates are per person and are based on shared twin room occupancy.
    • How to Make a Reservation | The quickest way to make a reservation is to register online or contact us by email. We accept VISA, MasterCard, and American Express credit cards. A non-refundable deposit of $500 is required in order to complete the registration process.

  • Payments | The balance of your payment is due 90 days before your trip begins, or as specified in your invoice. You will receive an email reminder 2 weeks before this date. Various payment options are available as follows:
    • Credit card | We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express. Please check with your credit card provider regarding international processing fees. We are unable to process payments of over $1,000 over the phone. Please submit payment online via a credit card or by wiring funds via your bank.
    • Domestic bank wire transfer | Payment should be wired in the same currency that is listed on your invoice. Please add the name of your group or invoice number as a reference and forward a copy of the transfer receipt by email. The bank transfer should clearly state the beneficiary’s name on the wire transfer.
  • J² Adventures reserves the right to automatically cancel your reservation on that date and it may be subject to reconfirmation should the final payment not be received.
  • Cancelation Policy | All cancelations need to be made in writing. The cancelation fee depends on the date when we receive written notification of your request to cancel your booking. Please note that the deposit is non-refundable.
    • Cancelation fees | Cancelations made 90 or more days prior to departure incur the loss of the deposit. Cancelations made 89 to 46 days prior to departure incur the loss of 50% of the full trip cost. Cancelations made 45 days or less prior to the departure incur the loss of 100% of the full trip cost.
    • Cancelation fees may also include: Hotel or supplier cancelation fees. J² Adventures reserves the right to adjust its terms of payment, including cancelation policies and initial deposits.
