YOUR journey

J² crafts journeys of inspiration, education, and Jewish connections to Israel and worldwide. We are guided by a simple but powerful concept: No two trips are the same; each experience should be personal, meaningful, and backed by superb service. Travel is not just about the places you visit, but the connections you make along the way.

Coming to Israel today is a special act of solidarity and of Jewish peoplehood. Israel has never faced more challenging times. We hope that your solidarity mission is about encountering and understanding where the people of Israel stand – in our hurt, in our healing, and in our hope. The mission is about bringing comfort and being comforted. It is an act of empathy and a confirmation of shared memory and destiny. Above all, the solidarity mission is about what each one of us chooses to do to make a difference on the day that we return to our communities from Israel.

Program Itinerary

DAY 1
WELCOME TO ISRAEL
Mon. Oct 27, 2025
  • 9:00am Meet your J² Expert Educator, Jeremy Aron, who will accompany you on this journey of education and inspiration.
  • Pause at Hostages Square and reflect on the powerful history of the people of Israel’s relentless efforts to bring every hostage home. Discover the emotional stories of resilience and heroism, and gain a deeper understanding of how this site symbolizes the nation's unwavering commitment to the safety and well-being of its people.
  • Visit Dizengoff Square, a vibrant centerpiece of Tel Aviv life and a place of reflection. Witness the memorials that honor moments of tragedy and resilience, and gain insight into how this square embodies the spirit of Israeli society; its creativity, unity, and enduring strength in the face of challenge.
  • Explore the bohemian neighborhood of Florentine, a hub of Tel Aviv's street art and cultural expression. Witness firsthand how graffiti and murals reflect social issues, identity, and recent events in Israel.
  • Eat, drink, and learn at Levinsky Market, where we’ll sample food, sweets, and spices from all over the Mediterranean and the Middle East.
  • Visions of Who We Might Be: Visit Trumpeldor Cemetery, where the great thinkers and founders of the first Zionist city are buried and discuss the vision versus the reality of Israel today. (Time permitting).
  • Meet with activists from Ahim ve Ahayot LaNeshek, Brothers & Sisters in Arms, a civic-social movement of IDF reservists who united to protest the judicial reforms in Israel and became a driving force in civilian relief efforts following October 7th, supporting evacuated communities and front-line needs.
  • Welcome Dinner at a local restaurant.
Overnight: Tel Aviv Meals: Lunch, Dinner
DAY 2
LENDING A HAND & NORTHERN EXPOSURE
Tue. Oct 28, 2025
  • Volunteer and lend a hand in the fields with Leket Israel, a leading food rescue organization, by harvesting fruits and vegetables that will be distributed to individuals and families in need across the country.
  • Drive north on the Trans-Israel Highway and see the Security Barrier.
  • Over lunch, engage in a dialogue with Mohammad Darawshe, Director of Strategy at Givat Haviva’s Center for Shared Society and a leading expert on Jewish-Arab relations in Israel. He will offer insights on fostering a more inclusive society in Israel, while reflecting on the aftermath of October 7 and his personal loss.
  • Meet the good people of Kibbutz Hanita – a historic kibbutz on the Israel-Lebanon border – who are returning home to rebuild their lives in the aftermath of the Hezbollah-Israel War. Tour the kibbutz and understand that the pioneering spirit that established Hanita is alive and well.
  • Visit an Israeli Druze village to explore the rich culture, traditions, and unique role of Israel’s Druze community, gaining insight into their complex but close relationship with the State of Israel and enjoy a home hospitality cooking workshop for dinner.
  • Return to Tel Aviv.
Overnight: Tel Aviv Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
DAY 3
BEARING WITNESS
Wed. Oct 29, 2025
  • Travel south to the Gaza Envelope.
  • Pay your respects at the memorial site of the Nova Festival at Kibbutz Re’im and learn about the tragic attack that turned a weekend of celebration into a heartbreaking loss. Reflect on the memorial created by families and friends - a space of remembrance and heartbreak echoing the promise: “We Will Dance Again.”
  • Meet journalist Amir Tibon, a resident who survived the October 7 attack and author of the book 'The Gates of Gaza', a detailed account of that day and its wider political context.
  • Visit Kibbutz Nahal Oz and stop at Givat HaTaspitaniot (the Observers Memorial Monument), a poignant site honoring the IDF field observers who lost their lives during the October 7, 2023, Hamas attack. Reflect on their crucial role in monitoring border activities and why their warnings prior to the attack went unheeded.
  • Continue to Sderot, the most populated town in the Gaza Envelope. Take time to have lunch on own and interact with local residents to get a sense of all that the town and its people have endured since October 7th.
  • Devote time to reflection and processing with your tour leader and expert educator before returning to Tel Aviv.
Overnight: Tel Aviv Meals: Breakfast
DAY 4
CARRYING THE STORIES HOME
Thu. Oct 30, 2025
  • Check out of your Tel Aviv hotel and drive to Jerusalem.
  • Tour the Yad B’Yad (Hand in Hand) bilingual school in Jerusalem, part of a network of bilingual, multicultural educational institutions. Experience a living model where Jewish and Arab communities can learn and live together in coexistence and hope for a shared and inclusive future in Israel.
  • Mount Herzl is Israel's central military cemetery and hosts the graves of the leaders of the nation. Over the last several months, the recently fallen have joined this sacred place. Visit Mount Herzl and contend with the human price paid by Israeli families and the country in the Israel-Hamas War.
  • Take time to explore Jerusalem's lively Mahane Yehuda Market, where you'll immerse yourself in the vibrant sights, sounds, and scents of this dynamic hub. Wander through the colorful stalls and savor the flavors of the city's diverse and dynamic culinary scene.
  • Explore the National Library of Israel. Understand centuries of Jewish creativity through one of the world's most impressive collections of Jewish and Israel-related literature. In addition, the library staff is dedicated to a national project documenting the events of October 7, 2023.
  • What Lifts Us Up: Visit Ezrat Yisrael, the pluralistic prayer area along the Kotel (Western Wall) for a communal prayer.
  • Gather for your closing dinner and a chance to consider what you have encountered, and what you are taking home.
  • Transfer to Ben-Gurion International Airport for your check-in and return flight to the US.
