  • Arrive at Ben-Gurion International Airport and meet your J² Expert Educator, who will accompany your family and community throughout the journey with insight, context, and inspiration.
  • Overlook Tel Aviv from Jaffa: Take in a sweeping panoramic view of Tel Aviv’s modern skyline from the ancient port of Jaffa, where layers of biblical history, Ottoman architecture, and vibrant contemporary life converge. From this iconic vantage point, the contrast between old and new Israel comes into sharp focus - golden stone alleyways in the foreground and the bustling Mediterranean metropolis stretching north along the coastline - offering a powerful visual introduction to the country’s past, present, and future.

TEL AVIV: CULTURE, CREATIVITY & IDENTITY

  • Visit the newly opened ANU Museum of the Jewish People, an immersive exploration of Jewish life, diversity, creativity, and continuity from antiquity to today.
  • Stroll along Rothschild Boulevard and follow the Independence Trail, tracing milestones from the founding of Tel Aviv in 1909 to the declaration of the State of Israel in 1948.
  • Levinsky Market Tasting Tour: Explore the flavors and stories of Tel Aviv on a guided tasting tour through Levinsky Market, a lively neighborhood known for its spices, bakeries, sweets, and family-run shops. With approachable tastings, colorful aromas, and engaging cultural anecdotes, this experience offers something for every generation - connecting grandparents, parents, and children through food, history, and the everyday rhythms of Israeli life.

WHERE HISTORY, ART & COMMUNITY MEET

  • Caesarea National Park: Step back in time at Caesarea, one of Israel’s most impressive archaeological sites, where Roman ruins meet the Mediterranean Sea. Walk through the ancient harbor, amphitheater, and aqueducts while uncovering stories of Herod the Great and the civilizations that shaped the region - an engaging and accessible experience that brings history to life for travelers of all ages.
  • Ein Hod Artists’ Village – Art Workshop & Tour: Visit the enchanting artists’ village of Ein Hod for a hands-on art workshop paired with a guided stroll through its galleries and studios. Set in a picturesque Carmel hillside, this interactive experience invites participants of all ages to express creativity while learning about Israeli art, community, and the power of culture as a bridge between generations.

  • Participate in a Kabbalat Shabbat service at Kehillat Or Hadash, followed by a home-hospitality Shabbat dinner with members of the congregation.

SACRED VIEWS, NORTHERN COASTS & ANCIENT CITIES

  • Begin the day with a panoramic lookout over the Baha’i Gardens and learn about the history and beliefs of the Baha’i faith.
  • Visit Rosh Hanikra and descend via the steep cable car to explore the dramatic sea grottos carved into the limestone cliffs.
  • Continue to Akko (Acre) to encounter the layered history of Crusaders and their Muslim rivals. Explore the Knights’ Halls, wander through the vibrant Old Market, and walk atop the ancient city walls overlooking the Mediterranean.
  • Gather together to mark the end of Shabbat with a group Havdalah ceremony.

JERUSALEM: FAITH, HISTORY & CONTINUITY

  • Check out of the hotel and travel to Jerusalem.
  • Climb to the rooftops of the Old City for a sweeping view of Jerusalem’s sacred landscape, overlooking the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, the Dome of the Rock, and the Hurva Synagogue.
  • Visit the Kotel (Western Wall), Judaism’s holiest site, where personal prayer and national history converge.
  • Walk through the Jewish Quarter, exploring key sites including:
    • Visit the Jerusalem Archaeological Park, including the Davidson Center and Robinson’s Arch, to explore layers of history where Jewish life once flourished at the foot of the Temple Mount.
    • Step along the Cardo, the main thoroughfare of Roman Jerusalem, and imagine the city’s vibrant past as you stroll among its restored Byzantine-era columns.
    • Stand before King Hezekiah’s Broad Wall, an impressive 2,700-year-old structure that once defended Jerusalem and still stands as a symbol of endurance and faith.
    • Gather in Hurva Square, the lively center of Jewish life in the Old City, where history, community, and spirituality intertwine in the heart of the Jewish Quarter.

  • Explore Machane Yehuda Market, experiencing the colors, flavors, and energy of Jerusalem.
  • OPTION 1: Visit Yad Vashem, Israel’s national Holocaust memorial, for a powerful exploration of memory, loss, and resilience, including the Hall of Names and the Children’s Memorial.
  • OPTION 2: Visit the Biblical Zoo or the Bloomfield Science Museum.

DESERT ADVENTURE & ENDURING HERITAGE

  • Ascend Masada, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and uncover the dramatic story of Jewish resistance against Rome amid breathtaking desert views.
  • Descend to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth, and experience the unique sensation of floating effortlessly in its mineral-rich waters.
  • Return to Jerusalem.
  • Israel Museum & Dead Sea Scrolls - Optional Late Evening Tour: Experience the Israel Museum on an optional late evening visit, featuring the Shrine of the Book and the Dead Sea Scrolls. This tour invites participants to engage with some of Judaism’s most significant ancient texts and artifacts.

DAY 9
COURAGE, COMMUNITY & RESPONSIBILITY: THE GAZA ENVELOPE
Wed. Dec 30, 2026
  • Check out of the hotel and travel south.
  • OPTION 1: Visit a kibbutz near the Gaza border and hear firsthand testimony from a resident about October 7, its aftermath, and the ongoing process of healing and rebuilding.
  • OPTION 2: Youth: Visit Kibbutz Yad Mordechai for a hands-on honey-making workshop and learn about the community’s legacy of resilience from 1948 through today.
  • Continue together to Sderot, the largest town in the Gaza Envelope. Tour the town, meet local residents, and enjoy lunch on your own.
  • Visit and volunteer at ADI Negev–Nahalat Eran Rehabilitation Village, an inclusive community dedicated to healing, dignity, and hope.
  • Gather for a festive farewell dinner and closing reflections.
  • Following dinner, transfer as a group to Ben Gurion Airport for your overnight flight home.

    • Validity | All prices quoted are based on exchange rates as of the proposal date and are subject to change without notice. Rates are per person and are based on shared twin room occupancy.
    • How to Make a Reservation | The quickest way to make a reservation is to register online or contact us by email. We accept VISA, MasterCard, and American Express credit cards. A non-refundable deposit of $675 is required in order to complete the registration process.

  • Payments | The balance of your payment is due 90 days before your trip begins, or as specified in your invoice. You will receive an email reminder 2 weeks before this date. Various payment options are available as follows:
    • Credit card | We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express. Please check with your credit card provider regarding international processing fees. We are unable to process payments of over $1,000 over the phone. Please submit payment online via a credit card or by wiring funds via your bank.
    • Domestic bank wire transfer | Payment should be wired in the same currency that is listed on your invoice. Please add the name of your group or invoice number as a reference and forward a copy of the transfer receipt by email. The bank transfer should clearly state the beneficiary’s name on the wire transfer.
  • J² Adventures reserves the right to automatically cancel your reservation on that date and it may be subject to reconfirmation should the final payment not be received.
  • Cancelation Policy | All cancelations need to be made in writing. The cancelation fee depends on the date when we receive written notification of your request to cancel your booking. Please note that the deposit is non-refundable.
    • Cancelation fees | Cancelations made 90 or more days prior to departure incur the loss of the deposit. Cancelations made 89 to 46 days prior to departure incur the loss of 50% of the full trip cost. Cancelations made 45 days or less prior to the departure incur the loss of 100% of the full trip cost.
    • Cancelation fees may also include: Hotel or supplier cancelation fees. J² Adventures reserves the right to adjust its terms of payment, including cancelation policies and initial deposits.
