  • Welcome by our representative and assistance with arrival formalities.
  • Meet your tour educator who will accompany you on this journey of education and inspiration.
  • Welcome to Jerusalem. Drive through the ancient city of Jerusalem.
  • Check into hotel.
  • Stop at the Haas Promenade for a traditional “shehechiyanu” blessing of thanksgiving.
  • Followed by welcome dinner in a local cuisine.

Wed. Jun 19, 2024
  • Breakfast at an Israeli hotel is an experience in itself. Start the day with a bounteous buffet.
  • Explore the Western Wall Tunnel, the underground continuation of the Kotel, and examine important archaeological discoveries that are revising our understanding of daily life in ancient Jerusalem.
  • Tour Jerusalem’s Old City and the Jewish Quarter.
  • Among the highlights will be:
    • Visit the Kotel (Western Wall), widely considered Judaism’s holiest site. We’ll discuss the wall’s historical and contemporary importance and experience its unique atmosphere.
    • A climb to the rooftops, overlooking the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, the golden Dome of the Rock, and the famous Hurva Synagogue.
    • The Cardo, the main street of Roman-controlled Jerusalem and its Byzantine-era columns.
    • King Hezekiah’s “Broad Wall,” built to protect Jerusalem from invasion 2,700 years ago.
    • Hurva Square, the center of modern-day life in the Jewish Quarter.
  • Tour the Tower of David Museum and explore the city’s history – from the time of Abraham to the end of the British Mandate over Palestine:
  • Walk and talk with characters from Jerusalem’s history, utilizing virtual and augmented reality.
  • Experience Jerusalem night life in Mamilla Mall enjoy dinner, ice cream and shops.
  • Optional: See the Night Spectacular at the Tower of David Museum and enjoy this cinematic celebration of sight and sound depicting the story of Jerusalem.

  • Celebrate your Bnei Mitzvah at Ezrat Israel, the pluralistic section of the Kotel (Western Wall).
  • Join a magical and mysterious journey among ancient shafts, walls and fortifications of the City of David. Wade through the 2,700-year-old water tunnels (with optional dry exit). Through underground passageways and in the waters of the Siloam tunnel (Hezekiah’s tunnel) by flashlight – the place where it all began.
  • Take part in an interactive archeological dig geared to all ages at the Beit Guvrin Caves.
  • Celebratory Dinner Reservation.

  • Tree-planting ceremony in the Bird Observatory.
  • Visit Yad Vashem, the national memorial to the six million Jewish victims of the Holocaust. Your guided tour will include:

  • For children under the age of 10 years old we offer:
    • Visit Jerusalem’s Biblical Zoo.
  • Participate in a challah-baking workshop, guided by a world-class chef at the Teamim Cooking School.
  • Kehillat Kol Haneshama, a leading Reform congregation.
  • Followed by a traditional Shabbat dinner with a local family.

  • Early Breakfast
  • Tour Masada, where Jewish rebels are believed to have made their final attempt to resist Roman invaders (c 74 CE), an internationally renowned world heritage site.
  • Float into happiness on the Dead Sea where the feeling of weightlessness is great fun.
  • Hike in Nahal David, part of the Ein Gedi Nature Reserve.
  • Return to Jerusalem.

  • Check out of Hotel.
  • Ride a camel followed by a traditional pita making.
  • Spend time in Tsfat, where you will:
    • Visit the Ari Synagogue.
    • See the Caro Synagogue, built originally, like the Ari Synagogue, in the 16th century.
    • Walk through the Artists’ Colony.
    • Tour the Tsfat Candle Factory.
  • Head to Kibbutz Malkiya which you will learn with IDF solders about the geopolitical border.
  • Check-in into hotel.

  • Take a nature walk along the Banias Stream, the second largest source of the Jordan River.
  • Go for a jeep tour of the Golan Heights.

  • Join an Israeli Arab family at their home to talk, over tea and coffee, and learn about their lives.
  • Drive down the coast to Tel-Aviv
  • Experience the dynamism of Jewish life at the newly-opened ANU Museum of the Jewish People, dedicated to telling their story and representing their diversity, highlighting the creative works and cultural riches of a variety of communities in different periods of history until the present day.
  • Stop at the Jaffa lookout, walk through Jaffa’s famous flea market – Shuk Hapishpeshim.
  • Check-in into hotel and following sunset dinner by the beach.

  • Visit the Ayalon Institute near Rehovot and its secret ammunition factory.
  • Join locals lunching at the Carmel Market, learn and taste the local food all over the Mediterranean and the Middle East.
  • For adults: Talk with Professor Paul Liptz of Tel Aviv University and the Hebrew Union College about the key issues shaping Israeli society today.
  • For children: Go behind the scenes of the Maccabi Tel Aviv soccer club. See the team play live (access to the VIP lounge can be arranged), visit the dressing room and the players’ bench, meet the club mascot and, during the match, be welcomed on the stadium’s big screen.
  • Enjoy Tel Aviv’s night life.

  • Validity | All prices quoted are based on exchange rates as of the proposal date and are subject to change without notice. Rates are per person and are based on shared twin room occupancy.
  • How to Make a Reservation | The quickest way to make a reservation is to register online or contact us by email. We accept VISA, MasterCard, and American Express credit cards. A non-refundable deposit of $500 is required in order to complete the registration process.

  • Payments | The balance of your payment is due 90 days before your trip begins, or as specified in your invoice. You will receive an email reminder 2 weeks before this date. Various payment options are available as follows:
  • Credit card | We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express. Please check with your credit card provider regarding international processing fees. We are unable to process payments of over $1,000 over the phone. Please submit payment online via a credit card or by wiring funds via your bank.
  • Domestic bank wire transfer | Payment should be wired in the same currency that is listed on your invoice. Please add the name of your group or invoice number as a reference and forward a copy of the transfer receipt by email. The bank transfer should clearly state the beneficiary’s name on the wire transfer.
  • J² Adventures reserves the right to automatically cancel your reservation on that date and it may be subject to reconfirmation should the final payment not be received.
  • Cancelation Policy | All cancelations need to be made in writing. The cancelation fee depends on the date when we receive written notification of your request to cancel your booking. Please note that the deposit is non-refundable.
  • Cancelation fees | Cancelations made 90 or more days prior to departure incur the loss of the deposit. Cancelations made 89 to 46 days prior to departure incur the loss of 50% of the full trip cost. Cancelations made 45 days or less prior to the departure incur the loss of 100% of the full trip cost.
  • Cancelation fees may also include: Hotel or supplier cancelation fees. J² Adventures reserves the right to adjust its terms of payment, including cancelation policies and initial deposits.
