WELCOME TO ISRAEL
Sun. Jul 6, 2025
  • Arrive at Ben-Gurion International Airport and meet your J² Expert Educator who will accompany you on this journey of education and understanding.
  • Stop at the Jaffa Lookout for a panoramic view of Tel Aviv, get an overview of your mission in Israel, and gather together for a traditional “Shehechiyanu” blessing of thanksgiving.
  • Check into your hotel in Tel Aviv.
  • Hostage Square has become a national center for the fight to bring home hostages held by Hamas. Visit the square to meet with families and activists of 'The Hostage and Missing Families Forum' who have played a key role in the movement.
  • Dinner & Discussion - Understanding the Context: Enjoy dinner while reflecting on October 7, the events that followed, and the ongoing situation in Israel, with Haviv Rettig Gur, journalist and political correspondent for The Times of Israel.

DAY 3
LIVING ON THE EDGE: IN THE SHADOW OF GAZA
Mon. Jul 7, 2025
  • Drive south to the Gaza Envelope.
  • Stop at the Black Arrow Monument for an overview of Gaza strip and to learn about the harrowing battle that took place there on October 7.
  • Spend time at a Kibbutz on near the Israel-Gaza border and meet a resident to hear about the events of October 7 and the daily challenges and threats that the community still faces.
  • Continue to Sderot, located on Israel’s border with the Gaza Strip, and gain first-hand insights into the challenges and perseverance of this community in the aftermath of October 7.
  • Enjoy lunch on your own in Sderot and take the opportunity to support local businesses.
  • Visit the site of the Nova Festival near Kibbutz Re'im to see the monuments created in memory of those who lost their lives there. Hear from a survivor and learn about the enduring impact of such an atrocity and how we move closer to dancing again.
  • Devote time to reflection and processing with your tour leader and educator before returning to Tel Aviv.

DAY 4
THE STILL, SMALL VOICE
Tue. Jul 8, 2025
  • Devote time to volunteering alongside members of a local Reform congregation at one of the many sites where extra hands are needed.
  • Visit the Magen David Adom HQ in Ramle, a state-of-the-art blood bank that is dedicated to making sure that Israel is prepared for emergency situations. Hear stories from first responders from October 7th.
  • Hear the emotional and impactful story of Project 24. Born a few days following the October 7 tragedy, Project 24 connects Israeli communities affected by the attack and the war with North American Jews, focusing on mutual support and healing.
  • Stop at Café Otef Rei’im. The café was founded by displaced residents of southern Israel after the October 2023 Hamas attacks. It commemorates Dvir Karp, a chocolatier killed in the attacks, and features his chocolate creations. The café supports affected communities by offering local products and providing a space for connection and purpose.
  • Walk through the streets of Tel Aviv, to check out local murals and graffiti that are capturing people’s response to recent events. Finish the tour with the new works of local artists entitled "Walls of Hope." Each new mural represents one of the children who was held hostage.

DAY 5
DREAMERS & PIONEERS IN THE GALILEE
Wed. Jul 9, 2025
  • Drive towards northern Israel.
  • Stop at an overlook of the north and its borders to hear from Sarit Zehavi, a renowned research expert and the CEO and founder of the Alma Research and Education Center. Sarit will provide an in-depth analysis of the security challenges and geopolitical dynamics affecting the region.
  • Tour Kibbutz Hanita, a symbol of pioneering spirit, which was evacuated and partially destroyed during the most recent military confrontations in the north. The kibbutz represents both resilience and the deep impact of the current conflict.
  • Experience a home hospitality lunch with a Druze family and engage in a conversation about how the recent events have affected the Druze community, shedding light on the complexities of their position and the broader impact of the conflict on Israel's diverse populations.
  • Meet with HeChalutz Movement members,, a group of young people dedicated to rehabilitating the Galil. Learn about their work in rebuilding and strengthening communities in the north, and their commitment to creating a more secure and unified future.
  • Return to Tel Aviv and reflect on the day's experiences and deepened understanding of the region’s challenges and the ongoing efforts of those working toward recovery and peace.

DAY 6
SPIRITUALITY IN JERUSALEM
Thu. Jul 10, 2025
  • Check out of the hotel and drive to Jerusalem.
  • Meet with a leader from IRAC (Religious Action Center) to learn about social justice initiatives in Israel.
  • Mount Herzl is Israel's central military cemetery and hosts the graves of the leaders of the nation. Since October 7, 2023, the fallen have joined this sacred place. Visit Mount Herzl and contend with the human price paid by Israeli families and the country in the Israel-Hamas War. Join the daily morning kaddish dedicated to the memories of our fallen soldiers.
  • Take time to explore Jerusalem’s Mahane Yehuda Market, where you’ll immerse yourself in the sights, smells, and tastes of Jerusalem and have the opportunity to engage with local Israelis.
  • Explore the National Library of Israel. The new Israel National Library provides the opportunity to understand centuries of Jewish creativity through one of the world’s most impressive collections of Jewish and Israel-related literature. In addition, the library staff is dedicated to a national project documenting the events of October 7, 2023.
  • What Lifts Us Up: Come together as a community for a moment of prayer and reflection at the Kotel (Western Wall) or an overview of the Old City of Jerusalem.
  • Gather for your closing dinner and a chance to consider what you have encountered, and what you are taking home.
  • Transfer to Ben-Gurion International Airport.

  • US and foreign airport taxes, Q fuel surcharge and border taxes when applicable.
  • Value Added Tax is currently not applicable to tourists visiting Israel. Should the law change, you will be notified accordingly, and VAT will be added to your final invoice.

  • Validity | All prices quoted are based on exchange rates as of the proposal date and are subject to change without notice. Rates are per person and are based on shared twin room occupancy.
  • How to Make a Reservation | The quickest way to make a reservation is to register online or contact us by email. We accept VISA, MasterCard, and American Express credit cards. A non-refundable deposit of $500 is required in order to complete the registration process.
  • For any assistance with this registration process or other trip-related queries, please email Customer Care: [email protected].
  • Payments | The balance of your payment is due 90 days before your trip begins, or as specified in your invoice. You will receive an email reminder 2 weeks before this date. Various payment options are available as follows:
    • Credit card | We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express. Please check with your credit card provider regarding international processing fees. We are unable to process payments of over $1,000 over the phone. Please submit payment online via a credit card or by wiring funds via your bank.
    • Domestic bank wire transfer | Payment should be wired in the same currency that is listed on your invoice. Please add the name of your group or invoice number as a reference and forward a copy of the transfer receipt by email. The bank transfer should clearly state the beneficiary’s name on the wire transfer.
  • J² Adventures reserves the right to automatically cancel your reservation on that date and it may be subject to reconfirmation should the final payment not be received.
  • Cancelation Policy | All cancelations need to be made in writing. The cancelation fee depends on the date when we receive written notification of your request to cancel your booking. Please note that the deposit is non-refundable.
  • Cancelation fees | Cancelations made 90 or more days prior to departure incur the loss of the deposit. Cancelations made 89 to 46 days prior to departure incur the loss of 50% of the full trip cost. Cancelations made 45 days or less prior to the departure incur the loss of 100% of the full trip cost.
  • Cancelation fees may also include: Hotel or supplier cancelation fees. J² Adventures reserves the right to adjust its terms of payment, including cancelation policies and initial deposits.
  • Mobility: Solidarity missions are specifically strenuous, and our visits include places that are inaccessible to people who may have mobility challenges. You should be in good health and able to walk reasonable distances, often over unpaved and uneven surfaces. PLEASE NOTE: In some cases you may need to run to a shelter, if you have questions regarding this matter please speak to a J² representative.
