  • Arrival at Ben Gurion International Airport.
  • Check into the hotel.
  • Meet at the hotel lobby before 3:00 p.m.
  • Meet your tour educator who will accompany you on this journey of education and inspiration.
  • Stop at the Jaffa Port for an introduction to Tel Aviv and to your journey in Israel.
  • Welcome Dinner at a local restaurant.

DAY 3
FROM INDEPENDENCE ONWARD
Fri. Jun 27, 2025
  • Stop at the Jaffa lookout and explore the old city of Jaffa.
  • Relive the birth of the State of Israel along Rothschild Boulevard along the Independence Trail.
  • Explore Nachalat Binyamin, Tel Aviv’s arts and crafts market.
  • Enjoy lunch on own in the Carmel Market, with food options from all over the Mediterranean and the Middle East.
  • Return to the hotel to prepare for shabbat.
  • Kabbalat Shabbat services at Kehillat Yozma in Modi’in, led by Rabbi Nir Barkin. Shabbat dinner with families from the Yozma Community.

DAY 4
THE SEARCH FOR ROOTS

  • Visit the Ayalon Institute near Rehovot and its secret ammunition factory.
  • Experience the dynamism of Jewish life at the newly-opened ANU Museum of the Jewish People, dedicated to telling their story and representing their diversity, highlighting the creative works and cultural riches of a variety of communities in different periods of history until the present day.
  • Enjoy lunch on own at the Sarona Market, which was once a colony of Templars, German Christian pilgrims to the Holy Land, but is now a center of Tel Aviv cuisine.
  • Visit the Rabin Square and learn about former Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin, who was assassinated in 1995.
  • Mark the end of Shabbat with a communal Havdalah ceremony overlooking at the Mediterranean's edge.
  • Enjoy a free evening and explore what Tel Aviv’s night life has to offer, with its boardwalk, cafés, bars, clubs, shows – and more.

DAY 5
DISCOVERING THE NORTH

  • Check out of the hotel.
  • Visit Caesarea, one of the Land of Israel’s most important cities during the Roman Period. Explore its ancient theater, palace, bathhouse and hippodrome.
  • Stop at the Ancient Roman Aqueduct, located on the pristine beaches of Caesarea.
  • Raft or kayak down the Jordan River.
  • Check in at the hotel.
  • Enjoy dinner at the kibbutz hotel in the Upper Galilee.
  • Learn about the Kibbutz movement and Kibbutz life today.

DAY 6
THE GALILEE MOSAIC
Mon. Jun 30, 2025
  • Celebrate your B'nai Mitzvah in ancient Katzrin.
  • Explore Israel's northern borders looking into Syria and Lebanon and learn about Israel’s security situation in the Golan Heights.
  • Enjoy lunch on own in a local Druze restaurant.
  • Visit the Odem Mountain Winery at the foot of Mt. Hermon on the Golan Heights for a wine tasting.
  • Visit the Freedom Farm for rescued animals. The farm is a rehabilitation center and educational project - learn about their work and participate in a hands-on encounter with the animal residents of the farm including horses, pigs, birds, and even wolves.
  • Stop at Tel Faher, an abandoned Syrian outpost where Israeli soldiers fought during the Six Day War.
  • Return to the hotel for Dinner.

DAY 7
BORDERS AND NEIGHBORS

  • Check out of the hotel.
  • Spend time in Tsfat, central to the Jewish mystical tradition, and visit the synagogues and artists galleries.
  • Lunch on own in Tsfat.
  • Visit Sindyanna of Galilee - a non-profit organization that is creating economic opportunities for Arab women, one of Israel’s most underemployed sectors - and sample some of their award-winning olive oil.
  • Travel to Jerusalem and stop at the Haas Promenade for a traditional “shehechiyanu” blessing of thanksgiving.
  • Check in to your hotel.
  • Optional: See the Night Spectacular at the Tower of David Museum and enjoy this cinematic celebration of sight and sound depicting the story of Jerusalem.

DAY 8
THE DEAD SEA BASIN
Wed. Jul 2, 2025
  • Descend to the Dead Sea Basin.
  • Take the cable car to the top of Masada, learn about and see where Jewish rebels are believed to have made their final attempt to resist Roman invaders (c 74 CE).
  • Float on the Dead Sea where the feeling of weightlessness is great fun and coat yourself in the famous Dead Sea mud.
  • Hike in one of the many trails of the desert oasis at the Ein Gedi Nature Reserve.
  • Visit Genesis Land and relive ancient Jewish life at the desert's edge and ride a camel in the heart of the desert.
  • Enjoy hospitality in a desert tent and share a traditional “hafla” dinner at Genesis Land.
  • Return to the hotel.

DAY 9
THE HOLY CITY
Thu. Jul 3, 2025
  • Celebrate your B'nai Mitzvah on the rooftop of the Dan Panorama hotel overlooking the Jerusalem skyline.
  • Explore the City of David, the core of ancient Jerusalem. Our visit will include the archaeological excavation and Hezekiah's water tunnel.
  • Lunch on own in the Old City of Jerusalem.
  • Visit the Jerusalem Archaeological Park, including the Davidson Center, Robinson’s Arch, and the egalitarian prayer plaza at Azrat Yisrael.
  • Visit the Kotel (Western Wall), widely considered Judaism’s holiest site. We’ll discuss the wall’s historical and contemporary importance and experience its unique atmosphere.
  • Optional night visit to the Western Wall Tunnel, the underground continuation of the Kotel, and examine important archaeological discoveries that are revising our understanding of daily life in ancient Jerusalem.

DAY 10
THE POWER OF MEMORY
Fri. Jul 4, 2025
  • Plant trees at the Jerusalem Bird Observatory.
  • Adults and children over 10: Visit Yad Vashem, the national memorial to the six million Jewish victims of the Holocaust.
  • Children: Visit Ein Yael, an interactive, living museum, located on a 2,000-year-old archaeological site.
  • Experience the sights, smells, and tastes of Jerusalem while walking through Shuk Mahane Yehuda - Jerusalem's open-air market. Use a voucher to enjoy lunch in one of the Shuk's many different food stands.
  • Return to the hotel to prepare for Shabbat.
  • Walk to Yemin Moshe to welcome Shabbat. Shabbat Shalom.
  • Celebrate a festive Shabbat dinner and reflect on own experience at your hotel.

DAY 11
SACRED SPACE, SACRED TIME

  • Take part in an interactive archeological dig geared to all ages at the Beit Guvrin Caves including a picnic lunch. Get your hands dirty uncovering pottery from the Hellenistic period, 2300 years ago before crawling through the Maresha Cave Labyrinth. The non-crawlers among us will visit a more spacious part of the cave complex in this UNESCO World Heritage Site.
  • Optional programs:
    • Explore the Israel Museum, housing more than 5,000 years of cultural treasures, on own.
    • Walking tour: discover multiple faiths in the Old City, including the Via Dolorosa, the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.
  • Mark the end of Shabbat with a communal Havdalah ceremony overlooking the Old City.
  • Late check out of the hotel.
  • Festive closing dinner at Abu Gosh and transfer to Ben Gurion International Airport.

What to expect

  • 9 nights' accommodations. Late check out on the day of departure is included.
  • 10 days of touring with a tour educator (guide), 10 days of touring in a luxury, air-conditioned bus.
  • Daily breakfast, 3 lunches & 7 dinners.
  • The J² adventures App available on the App Store & on Google Play (active 7 days before your departure and throughout your trip).
  • Water on the bus.

  • All site entrance fees & program fees as per your final program.

  • Validity | All prices quoted are based on exchange rates as of the proposal date and are subject to change without notice. Rates are per person and are based on shared twin room occupancy.
  • How to Make a Reservation | The quickest way to make a reservation is to register online or contact us by email. We accept VISA, MasterCard, and American Express credit cards. A non-refundable deposit of $500 is required in order to complete the registration process.
  • For any assistance with this registration process or other trip-related queries, please email Customer Care: customercare@j2adventures.com.
  • Payments | The balance of your payment is due 90 days before your trip begins, or as specified in your invoice. You will receive an email reminder 2 weeks before this date. Various payment options are available as follows:
  • Credit card | We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express. Please check with your credit card provider regarding international processing fees. We are unable to process payments of over $1,000 over the phone. Please submit payment online via a credit card or by wiring funds via your bank.
  • Domestic bank wire transfer | Payment should be wired in the same currency that is listed on your invoice. Please add the name of your group or invoice number as a reference and forward a copy of the transfer receipt by email. The bank transfer should clearly state the beneficiary’s name on the wire transfer.

  • J² Adventures reserves the right to automatically cancel your reservation on that date and it may be subject to reconfirmation should the final payment not be received.
  • Cancelation Policy | All cancelations need to be made in writing. The cancelation fee depends on the date when we receive written notification of your request to cancel your booking. Please note that the deposit is non-refundable.
  • Cancelation fees | Cancelations made 90 or more days prior to departure incur the loss of the deposit. Cancelations made 89 to 46 days prior to departure incur the loss of 50% of the full trip cost. Cancelations made 45 days or less prior to the departure incur the loss of 100% of the full trip cost.
  • Cancelation fees may also include: Hotel or supplier cancelation fees. J² Adventures reserves the right to adjust its terms of payment, including cancelation policies and initial deposits.
