  • Depart for Israel.

Mon. Oct 28, 2024
  • Check in to your hotel individually.
  • Meet your J² Expert Educator who will accompany you on this journey of education and inspiration in the lobby of the hotel.
  • Understanding the Context: Look back to October 7 and toward the future with your Expert Educator.
  • Visions of Memory and Hope: Visit Trumpeldor Cemetery, where the great thinkers and founders of the first Zionist city are buried and discuss the vision versus the reality of Israel today.
  • Hostages Square has become a national center for the struggle for the hostages held by Hamas. Visit the square and join in a communal prayer.
  • Opening dinner at a local restaurant with MK Rabbi Gilad Kariv.

Tue. Oct 29, 2024
  • Drive south to the Gaza Envelope.
  • Visit the Black Arrow Monument along the northern point of the Israel-Gaza border for an overview of Gaza and to learn about the the harrowing battle that took place there on October 7.
  • Walk through Moshav Netiv Ha’asarah, located on the Israeli-Gaza border. Meet with a local resident to hear the story of life along the border, the events of October 7, and the situation today.
  • Continue to Sderot, located on Israel’s border with the Gaza Strip, to get a sense of all that the town and its people have endured over the past year.
  • Visit the site of the Nova Festival at Kibbutz Re'im and pay your respects at the memorial erected on the site.
  • Drive to Rahat and meet with Israeli Bedouin activist K’her Albaz to discuss the unique place of Israeli Bedouins in the Israel-Hamas war and the pioneering social and educational efforts that are being made for the community.
  • Devote time to reflection and processing with your tour leader and educator before returning to Tel Aviv.

Wed. Oct 30, 2024
  • Due to a lack of workers, Israelis now volunteer to work in agriculture. Join a Reform congregation from Israel to volunteer together and harvest vegetables in order to provide fresh produce for the country.
  • Visit the Magen David Adom HQ in Ramle - a state-of-the-art blood bank that is dedicated to making sure that Israel is prepared for emergency situations.

  • Bikur Holim - Visiting the Sick - is a fundamental Jewish ethical practice. At this time in Israel, Bikur Holim is more important than ever. Visit an Israeli medical facility and extend your hand to the ill, the injured, and the healing.
  • Project 24 – Hear the emotional and impactful story of Project 24. Born a few days following the October 7 tragedy, Project 24 connects Israeli communities affected by the attack and the war, with North American Jews, focusing on mutual support and healing.
  • Walk through the streets of Florentine, Tel Aviv, to see the new graffiti works of local artists entitled "Walls of Hope." Each new mural represents one of the children held hostage.

Thu. Oct 31, 2024
  • Meet with 'Brothers and Sisters in Arms' - one of the leading organizations of reserve soldiers and officers who headed the 2023 protest movement and created the largest civilian relief center after October 7.
  • Check out of your Tel Aviv hotel.
  • Mount Herzl is Israel's central military cemetery and hosts the graves of the leaders of the nation. Over the last several months, the recently fallen have joined this sacred place. Visit Mount Herzl and contend with the human price paid by Israeli families and the country in the Israel-Hamas War. Join the daily morning kaddish dedicated to the memories of our fallen soldiers.
  • Take a break and experience the sights, smells, and tastes of Jerusalem while walking through the Mahane Yehuda open-air market.
  • Explore the National Library of Israel. The new Israel National Library provides the opportunity to understand centuries of Jewish creativity through one of the world’s most impressive collections of Jewish and Israel-related literature. In addition, the library staff is dedicated to a national project documenting the events of October 7, 2023.
  • What Lifts Us Up: Stop at an overlook of the Old City of Jerusalem for a communal prayer.
  • Gather for your closing dinner and a chance to consider what you have encountered, and what you are taking home.

What to expect

  • 3 nights' accommodations.
  • 4 days of touring with a J² Expert Educator (guide), 4 days of touring in a luxury, air-conditioned bus.
  • Daily breakfast, 2 dinners.

  • US and foreign airport taxes, Q fuel surcharge and border taxes when applicable.
  • Value Added Tax is currently not applicable to tourists visiting Israel. Should the law change, you will be notified accordingly, and VAT will be added to your final invoice.

  • Validity | All prices quoted are based on exchange rates as of the proposal date and are subject to change without notice. Rates are per person and are based on shared twin room occupancy.
  • How to Make a Reservation | The quickest way to make a reservation is to register online or contact us by email. We accept VISA, MasterCard, and American Express credit cards. A non-refundable deposit of $500 is required in order to complete the registration process.
  • For any assistance with this registration process or other trip-related queries, please email Customer Care:
  • Payments | The balance of your payment is due 90 days before your trip begins, or as specified in your invoice. You will receive an email reminder 2 weeks before this date. Various payment options are available as follows:
    • Credit card | We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express. Please check with your credit card provider regarding international processing fees. We are unable to process payments of over $1,000 over the phone. Please submit payment online via a credit card or by wiring funds via your bank.
    • Domestic bank wire transfer | Payment should be wired in the same currency that is listed on your invoice. Please add the name of your group or invoice number as a reference and forward a copy of the transfer receipt by email. The bank transfer should clearly state the beneficiary’s name on the wire transfer.
  • J² Adventures reserves the right to automatically cancel your reservation on that date and it may be subject to reconfirmation should the final payment not be received.
  • Cancelation Policy | All cancelations need to be made in writing. The cancelation fee depends on the date when we receive written notification of your request to cancel your booking. Please note that the deposit is non-refundable.
  • Cancelation fees | Cancelations made 90 or more days prior to departure incur the loss of the deposit. Cancelations made 89 to 46 days prior to departure incur the loss of 50% of the full trip cost. Cancelations made 45 days or less prior to the departure incur the loss of 100% of the full trip cost.
  • Cancelation fees may also include: Hotel or supplier cancelation fees. J² Adventures reserves the right to adjust its terms of payment, including cancelation policies and initial deposits.

  • Mobility: Solidarity missions are specifically strenuous, and our visits include places that are inaccessible to people who may have mobility challenges. You should be in good health and able to walk reasonable distances, often over unpaved and uneven surfaces. PLEASE NOTE: In some cases you may need to run to a shelter, if you have questions regarding this matter please speak to a J² representative.
