DAY 1
WELCOME HOME

  • Arrive at Ben-Gurion International Airport, where your J² Expert Educator will greet you with warmth and energy to begin an unforgettable journey.
  • Drive north along the stunning Mediterranean coastline.
  • On the way, stop at the Ancient Roman Aqueduct in Caesarea.
  • Check into your hotel.
  • Enjoy a welcome dinner and orientation at the hotel.

DAY 2
NORTHERN EXPOSURE
Mon. Aug 17, 2026
  • ADULTS: Understanding the Security Challenges on Israel's Northern Border: Dialogue with Lieutenant Colonel (Res.) Sarit Zehavi, Founder and President of the Alma Research and Education Center. Specializing in Israel's security concerns on the northern border, particularly regarding Hezbollah and other regional threats, Zehavi provides unparalleled insights into the complex security dynamics at play.
  • KIDS: Step into the shoes of early pioneers as you explore life on a real Israeli kibbutz.
  • Later, reunite for a family hike through the lush Tel Dan Nature Reserve, with shallow streams, ancient ruins, and cool, shaded trails.
  • In the afternoon, raft or kayak down the Jordan River - a splashy, family adventure perfect for all ages.

DAY 3
RIDING THROUGH TIME, DANCING INTO JERUSALEM

  • Check out of the hotel.
  • Experience life as it was in the time of the Mishna at Kfar Kedem - ride donkeys, dress in ancient garb, bake pita on open fires, and discover what it was like to be a Jewish family 2,000 years ago.
  • Drive south along the modern Trans-Israel Highway, connecting the ancient and the new.
  • As you arrive in Jerusalem, pause at the breathtaking Haas Promenade for a moment of reflection and celebration. Recite the traditional Shehechiyanu blessing and take in the sweeping views of the Old City.
  • After hotel check-in, families will head out for a high-energy walking tour of Mamilla Boulevard with the one and only Guru Zuzu, a wildly fun, interactive street experience filled with laughter and surprises.
  • Evening free to explore or relax.

DAY 4
DIGGING INTO THE PAST

  • Explore the layers of Jerusalem’s history and spirituality in the Old City:
    • Begin at the Cardo, the ancient Roman marketplace lined with columns.
    • See Hezekiah’s Broad Wall, built 2,700 years ago to protect Jerusalem.
    • Descend to the Jerusalem Archaeological Park and feel the stones come alive.
    • Experience the emotion and significance of the Kotel (Western Wall)—a place of connection, memory, and hope.
  • In the afternoon, head south for a hands-on archaeological dig at Beit Guvrin, where the whole family becomes a real-life Indiana Jones.

DAY 5
MEMORY, MEANING & MISSION
Thu. Aug 20, 2026
  • ADULTS: Visit Yad Vashem, Israel’s powerful Holocaust memorial, for a reflective and emotional experience. Your educator will guide you through its stories of loss, courage, and resilience.
  • KIDS: Participate in a specially designed, age-appropriate workshop at the Israel Museum - exploring art, archaeology, and hands-on learning.
  • Volunteer as a family at Pantry Packers, packing food for Israelis in need - a meaningful moment of giving back.
  • Walk through the Mahane Yehuda open-air market and experience on your own the sights, smells, and tastes of Jerusalem.
  • End the day by planting a tree at the Jerusalem Bird Observatory, creating a living memory of your visit.

SECRETS, SEA BREEZES & SHABBAT SPIRIT

  • Step into Israel’s underground past at the Ayalon Institute, a secret bullet factory hidden beneath a laundry room during the British Mandate.
  • Travel to the ancient port city of Jaffa, with its cobblestone alleys and coastal charm. Then hop aboard a boat ride along Tel Aviv’s coastline - fun and fresh with stunning city views!
  • Shop or wander through Nahalat Binyamin, Tel Aviv’s open-air arts and crafts market - perfect for last-minute souvenirs.
  • Return to Jerusalem to rest and get ready for a magical evening.
  • Celebrate Shabbat together with candle lighting, Kabbalat Shabbat, and a festive dinner at the hotel.

DAY 7
SHABBAT IN JERUSALEM

  • Enjoy a relaxed morning with optional synagogue services or a peaceful family stroll.
  • Lunch at the hotel, followed by an easy-going walking tour of Yemin Moshe and Mishkenot Sha’ananim, home to Jerusalem’s first neighborhoods outside the Old City walls.
  • Cool off off in the fountains at Teddy Park, with a light picnic dinner on the grass.
  • As the sun sets, mark the end of Shabbat with a Havdalah ceremony overlooking the Old City walls.

DESERT WONDERS

  • Rise early and head into the desert.
  • Ascend Masada via cable car and walk among the ruins of this legendary mountaintop fortress, where Jewish rebels made their final stand against the Romans.
  • Then, it’s time to float in the Dead Sea, the lowest place on Earth! Cover yourselves in mineral-rich mud and relax in the warm waters.
  • Return to Jerusalem for late hotel checkout and a chance to refresh before our final gathering.
  • Enjoy a festive farewell dinner - a celebration of friendship, family, and everything you've discovered in Israel.
  • Transfer to Ben-Gurion Airport for your overnight flight home, filled with memories and meaning.

  • Validity | All prices quoted are based on exchange rates as of the proposal date and are subject to change without notice. Rates are per person and are based on shared twin room occupancy.
  • How to Make a Reservation | The quickest way to make a reservation is to register online or contact us by email. We accept VISA, MasterCard, and American Express credit cards. A non-refundable deposit of $500 is required in order to complete the registration process.

  • Payments | The balance of your payment is due 90 days before your trip begins, or as specified in your invoice. You will receive an email reminder 2 weeks before this date. Various payment options are available as follows:
    • Credit card | We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express. Please check with your credit card provider regarding international processing fees. We are unable to process payments of over $1,000 over the phone. Please submit payment online via a credit card or by wiring funds via your bank.
    • Domestic bank wire transfer | Payment should be wired in the same currency that is listed on your invoice. Please add the name of your group or invoice number as a reference and forward a copy of the transfer receipt by email. The bank transfer should clearly state the beneficiary’s name on the wire transfer.
  • J² Adventures reserves the right to automatically cancel your reservation on that date and it may be subject to reconfirmation should the final payment not be received.
  • Cancelation Policy | All cancelations need to be made in writing. The cancelation fee depends on the date when we receive written notification of your request to cancel your booking. Please note that the deposit is non-refundable.
  • Cancelation fees | Cancelations made 90 or more days prior to departure incur the loss of the deposit. Cancelations made 89 to 46 days prior to departure incur the loss of 50% of the full trip cost. Cancelations made 45 days or less prior to the departure incur the loss of 100% of the full trip cost.
  • Cancelation fees may also include: Hotel or supplier cancelation fees. J² Adventures reserves the right to adjust its terms of payment, including cancelation policies and initial deposits.
