DAY 1
ARRIVAL & FIRST IMPRESSIONS OF BUENOS AIRES
Tue. Oct 28, 2025
  • Arrive at Buenos Aires International Airport and transfer to the hotel.
  • 1:00 p.m. Gather in the hotel lobby, meet your J² Expert Educator and local guide, and begin touring.
  • Explore through La Boca and Caminito Street, a lively neighborhood filled with colorful houses, street performers, and tango dancers, reflecting the immigrant roots of Buenos Aires.
  • Enjoy a private boat cruise from La Boca to Puerto Madero, offering a unique perspective of the city’s skyline.
  • Stroll Puerto Madero, a strikingly modern waterfront district that was once a bustling port and has since been transformed into a dynamic hub of restaurants, offices, and parks.
  • Stop at the General San Martín Plaza & the Malvinas (Falklands) War Memorial.
  • Check in at your luxury hotel and unwind after a day of exploration.
  • 7:00 p.m. Welcome Kosher Dinner at the prestigious Alvear Palace, highlighted by two distinguished guest speakers and the presence of members of the local Jewish community.

DAY 2
DISCOVERING JEWISH HERITAGE & HISTORIC BUENOS AIRES

  • Early breakfast at the hotel.
  • 8:30 a.m. Meet with the Israeli ambassador to Argentina for an exclusive discussion on Argentina-Israel relations and regional affairs at the hotel.
  • Stop at El Ateneo Grand Splendid, one of the most beautiful bookshops in the world.
  • Walk through Plaza de Mayo, the city’s political and historical center, and admire the iconic Casa Rosada, Argentina’s presidential palace.
  • Discover the Metropolitan Cathedral and the Cabildo, two architectural landmarks that offer insight into Argentina’s colonial past and independence movement.
  • Enjoy free time at the San Telmo food Market,while experiencing the rich sights, aromas, and flavors of Buenos Aires’ historic San Telmo neighborhood.
  • Drive pass the Congress Building, one of Buenos Aires’ most stunning neoclassical structures.
  • 3:00 p.m. Tour the Holocaust Museum with Executive Directors Jonathan Karszenbaum and Fabiana Mindlin, followed by an engaging and meaningful conversation with a Holocaust survivor.
  • Return to the hotel with time to rest and get ready for dinner.
  • 6:45 p.m. Depart the hotel.
  • 7:00 p.m. Enjoy a sophisticated night out for dinner at Fernetería, where bold flavors and tasty dishes meet Buenos Aires’ stylish culinary scene.

THE FUTURE OF JEWISH LIFE IN ARGENTINA

  • 9:15 a.m. Visit Scholem Aleijem School, a cornerstone of Jewish education in Buenos Aires.
  • 10:15 a.m. Take part in a private tango workshop, learning the history and fundamental steps of Argentina’s most celebrated dance.
  • 11:30 a.m. Explore the fashionable district of Palermo Soho, known for its boutique shops, vibrant street art, and creative atmosphere.
  • 1:00 p.m. Enjoy a gourmet lunch at Sacro Palermo, experiencing the flavors of Buenos Aires’ modern culinary scene.
  • 3:00 p.m. Meet with Wally Liebhaber, Director of Malka, a Jewish youth program that fosters community, identity, and cultural engagement.
  • Return to the hotel to rest and get ready for dinner.
  • 6:10 p.m. Depart the hotel.
  • 6:30 p.m. Celebrate an exceptional evening with Rachael and Mark First at Glitter, a premier fine dining destination, where elegance and gourmet Kosher cuisine come together in the heart of Puerto Madero.

DAY 4
JEWISH IDENTITY & RESILIENCE IN ARGENTINA
Fri. Oct 31, 2025
  • 8:00 a.m. Depart the hotel.
  • 8:45 a.m. Tikkun Olam: Meet with the Tzedaka Foundation to learn and help with impactful work. Established to support Argentina's development, the foundation has brought meaningful improvements to the lives of thousands of vulnerable and at-risk Argentinians.
  • Walk through the Once District, the historic Jewish quarter of Buenos Aires, home to synagogues, seminaries, and Jewish cultural institutions.
  • 11:30 a.m. Pay respects at the AMIA Memorial, a site that commemorates the victims of the 1994 terrorist attack on the Jewish community center with the presence of the Vice President of AMIA follow by a conversation with Sergio Widder, JDC regional director in Latin America.
  • Visit the Libertad Synagogue and Jewish Museum, home to significant artifacts and exhibits that tell the story of Argentina’s Jewish community.
  • 3:30 p.m. Visit the MALBA Museum, home to an exceptional collection of Latin American modern art, including works by Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera.
  • Return to the hotel to get ready for Shabbat.
  • 6:15 p.m. Depart the hotel.
  • 7:00 p.m. Celebrate Kabbalat Shabbat at Amijai Synagogue, where Rabbi Alejandro Avruj will lead the service in a welcoming community setting.
  • Enjoy a Shabbat dinner with members of Buenos Aires’ Jewish community, sharing traditions, stories, and connections.

SHABBAT & ELEGANCE IN BUENOS AIRES

  • Take a walking tour of Recoleta, Buenos Aires’ most elegant neighborhood, lined with historic mansions and high-end boutiques.
  • Visit Recoleta Cemetery, the final resting place of Argentina’s most famous figures, including Eva Perón.
  • Stop at the Israeli Embassy Memorial to pay tribute to the victims of the 1992 bombing.
  • Spend the evening at leisure, exploring Buenos Aires’ vibrant nightlife, dining scene, or cultural attractions.

DAY 6
CULTURAL TREASURES OF BUENOS AIRES

  • 10:30 a.m. Depart the hotel.
  • 11:00 a.m. Take a private tour of the renowned Teatro Colón, Buenos Aires' main opera house, ranked the third-best globally by National Geographic. Revered for its exceptional acoustics, it stands among the top five concert venues worldwide.
  • 12:30 p.m. Available only on Sundays, explore the celebrated San Telmo Flea Market, extending over ten vibrant blocks, and discover exceptional treasures and timeless souvenirs.
  • Stop at the memorial park dedicated to honoring the victims of state terrorism, commemorating those who were unlawfully detained, disappeared, and killed by the state between 1969 and 1983.
  • 2:00 p.m. Enjoy a late farewell lunch at Enero restaurant.
  • Return to the hotel with time for some last-minute packing and relaxation, followed by a late checkout and transfer to Buenos Aires International Airport for your return flight home.
  • Or extend your journey with an optional visit to Iguazu Falls, one of the most breathtaking natural wonders in the world. (No late checkout is needed for those continuing on to Iguazú, with transfer to the airport after lunch.)

  • Validity | All prices quoted are based on exchange rates as of the proposal date and are subject to change without notice. Rates are per person and are based on shared twin room occupancy.
  • How to Make a Reservation | The quickest way to make a reservation is to register online or contact us by email. We accept VISA, MasterCard, and American Express credit cards. A deposit of $1,500, of which $1,000 is non-refundable, is required in order to complete the registration process.

  • Payments | The balance of your payment is due 120 days before your trip begins, or as specified in your invoice. You will receive an email reminder 2 weeks before this date. Various payment options are available as follows:
    • Credit card | We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express. Please check with your credit card provider regarding international processing fees. We are unable to process payments of over $1,000 over the phone. Please submit payment online via a credit card or by wiring funds via your bank.
    • Domestic bank wire transfer | Payment should be wired in the same currency that is listed on your invoice. Please add the name of your group or invoice number as a reference and forward a copy of the transfer receipt by email. The bank transfer should clearly state the beneficiary’s name on the wire transfer.
  • J² Adventures reserves the right to automatically cancel your reservation on that date and it may be subject to reconfirmation should the final payment not be received.
  • Cancelation Policy | All cancelations need to be made in writing. The cancelation fee depends on the date when we receive written notification of your request to cancel your booking. Please note that the deposit is non-refundable.
  • Cancelation fees | Cancelations made 120 or more days prior to departure incur the loss of $1,000 from the deposit. Cancelations made 119 to 46 days prior to departure incur the loss of 50% of the full trip cost. Cancelations made 45 days or less prior to the departure incur the loss of 100% of the full trip cost.
  • Cancelation fees may also include: Hotel or supplier cancelation fees. J² Adventures reserves the right to adjust its terms of payment, including cancelation policies and initial deposits.
