WELCOME TO ISRAEL
Tue. Jun 30, 2026
  • Arrive at Ben-Gurion International Airport and meet your J² Expert Educator, who will accompany you throughout this immersive and purpose-driven journey.
  • Begin your exploration with a visit to the ancient Roman Aqueduct on the pristine Mediterranean beaches of Caesarea, offering a powerful introduction to Israel’s layered history and enduring presence.
  • Engage in a meaningful conversation with Mai Levy, a former Holy Blossom Temple Shinshinit from Caesarea, as she shares her personal journey and reflections from serving as an IDF officer throughout the recent war.
  • Continue north for a short walk at the Arbel Cliffs, taking in sweeping views of the Galilee landscape and its dramatic natural beauty.
  • Settle in at your hotel and come together for a warm welcome dinner to mark the beginning of your time in Israel.

DAY 3
THE PEOPLE OF THE NORTH

  • Meet Lt. Col. (Res.) Eyal Dror on the Golan Heights for a strategic briefing overlooking Quneitra, learning about Israel’s northern security challenges and the humanitarian efforts of Operation Good Neighbor during the Syrian civil war.
  • Stand atop Mount Bental and gaze into Syria while gaining critical geopolitical insight into Israel’s complex security reality.
  • Engage in conversation in Kiryat Shmona with Mayor Avichai Stern and Rabbi Orit Rosenblatt, from the reform congregation of Poteach Shearim, who will share how local leadership supports a community shaped by displacement, resilience, and rebuilding.
  • Enjoy lunch on your own and support a local falafel restaurant in Kiryat Shmoneh, owned by the father our current Shinshinit Lianne and hearing firsthand his inspiring story of resilience and pride after keeping his restaurant open during wartime evacuation.
  • Travel to Manara to meet Ora Weinberg, who will speak candidly about life under prolonged Hezbollah fire and the difficult questions facing Israel’s border communities.
  • Spend the evening together with IDF reserve officers and soldiers getting a sense of their experiences as well as an opportunity to thank them for their vital service.
  • Gather for dinner at a local restaurant in northern Israel, enjoying an authentic regional dining experience while reflecting together on the day’s meaningful encounters and shared moments.

DAY 4
TIME FOR HEALING
Thu. Jul 2, 2026
  • Dedicate half the day to volunteering with the Israel Nature and Parks Authority, assisting in the preservation of significant archaeological sites such as Tel Hazor or Korazim National Park, blending service with history and stewardship of the land.
  • Experience an adventurous jeep tour through the Golan Heights, exploring rugged terrain, volcanic landscapes, and strategic viewpoints, with stops including Metula and the Canada Centre.
  • Visit Galil Mountain Winery on Kibbutz Yiron near the Lebanese border for a tasting and conversation about resilience, agriculture, and life on Israel’s northern frontier.
  • Conclude the day with heartfelt home hospitality at Baba Yona Ranch, where Chef Gadi Elias and his family host a shared meal and recount how he has supported Israel by feeding soldiers in the north since October 8, 2023.

WHERE LAND AND PEOPLE MEET
Fri. Jul 3, 2026
  • Check out of the hotel and begin the day with an early morning visit to the Hula Nature Reserve, home to thousands of migrating birds including storks, cranes, pelicans, and flamingos.
  • Explore Sindyanna of Galilee, a nonprofit empowering Arab women through fair-trade olive oil production, sampling award-winning products and learning about economic coexistence.
  • Sit down with Rabbi Hadas Ron Zariz, founding member and co-director of HaMidrasha, for a thoughtful conversation on spiritual leadership and building a shared society.
  • Take in breathtaking views from the Bahá’í Gardens, a UNESCO World Heritage site whose graceful terraces and spiritual harmony offer sweeping views of Haifa and the Mediterranean.
  • Arrive at your hotel and take time to freshen up and prepare for Shabbat.
  • Welcome Shabbat with Kabbalat Shabbat services at Or Hadash Reform Congregation, followed by a communal Shabbat dinner with local congregants filled with dialogue and connection.

SHABBAT IN HAIFA & MT. CARMEL

  • Embrace Shabbat with a hike in the serene trails of Nesher Park on Mount Carmel, overlooking Haifa, as you pause for moments of reflection and a meaningful Shacharit service surrounded by sweeping views and natural beauty.
  • Visit a village on Mount Carmel to gain insight into the Druze community, learning about their traditions, values, and distinctive partnership with the State of Israel through conversation and local perspective.
  • Experience warm home hospitality with an Israeli Arab family, sharing tea and open conversation before taking part in a GalilEat cooking workshop, enjoying a traditional meal, and learning the art of making knafeh together.
  • Return to Haifa and mark the close of Shabbat with a moving Havdalah ceremony alongside former Holy Blossom Temple Shinshinim, celebrating shared connection, gratitude, and the transition back into the rhythm of the week.
  • Enjoy an evening at your leisure in Haifa, with time to savor dinner on your own and explore the city’s lively streets, waterfront, and cafés as the city comes alive after dark.

BETWEEN COMPASSION AND CRUSADERS

  • Volunteer for half the day with Yahel, a nonprofit rooted in service learning, supporting community-led initiatives that empower marginalized populations through dignity and partnership.
  • Walk along the sea grottoes of the Rosh HaNikra cliffs, discussing the geology, geography, and geopolitics that make this dramatic site internationally renowned.
  • Discover the historic city of Akko (Acre) on a guided tour, including the restored Crusader Fortress, the Ramchal Synagogue founded by Rabbi Moses Chaim Luzzatto, and the El-Jazzar Mosque, one of Israel’s most significant mosques.
  • Share dinner at the iconic Uri Buri restaurant in Akko, meeting chef and owner Uri Yirmias as he speaks about the city’s complexities and his culinary philosophy rooted in coexistence and shared society.
  • Return to Haifa.

  • Visit the Yad B’Yad (Hand in Hand) bilingual school, where Jewish and Arab students learn together in Hebrew and Arabic, offering a hopeful model of shared society and mutual understanding.
  • Wander through the vibrant Wadi Nisnas neighborhood, encountering its rich cultural fabric shaped by generations of Jewish and Arab residents, with colorful markets, art, and everyday life reflecting coexistence in action.
  • Lend a helping hand and take part in a meaningful volunteer experience that supports local communities, offering hands-on service that brings the Jewish value of tikkun olam to life through compassion, responsibility, and shared purpose.
  • Celebrate your journey with a farewell dinner and reflection session, exchanging blessings and considering how to carry its insights and spirit home.

HOME AGAIN

  • Check out your hotel and transfer to Ben-Gurion International Airport for your flight back to Toronto.

    • Validity | All prices quoted are based on exchange rates as of the proposal date and are subject to change without notice. Rates are per person and are based on shared twin room occupancy.
    • How to Make a Reservation | The quickest way to make a reservation is to register online or contact us by email. We accept VISA, MasterCard, and American Express credit cards. A non-refundable deposit of $675 is required in order to complete the registration process.

  • Payments | The balance of your payment is due 90 days before your trip begins, or as specified in your invoice. You will receive an email reminder 2 weeks before this date. Various payment options are available as follows:
    • Credit card | We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express. Please check with your credit card provider regarding international processing fees. We are unable to process payments of over $1,000 over the phone. Please submit payment online via a credit card or by wiring funds via your bank.
    • Domestic bank wire transfer | Payment should be wired in the same currency that is listed on your invoice. Please add the name of your group or invoice number as a reference and forward a copy of the transfer receipt by email. The bank transfer should clearly state the beneficiary’s name on the wire transfer.
  • J² Adventures reserves the right to automatically cancel your reservation on that date and it may be subject to reconfirmation should the final payment not be received.
  • Cancelation Policy | All cancelations need to be made in writing. The cancelation fee depends on the date when we receive written notification of your request to cancel your booking. Please note that the deposit is non-refundable.
    • Cancelation fees | Cancelations made 90 or more days prior to departure incur the loss of the deposit. Cancelations made 89 to 46 days prior to departure incur the loss of 50% of the full trip cost. Cancelations made 45 days or less prior to the departure incur the loss of 100% of the full trip cost.
    • Cancelation fees may also include: Hotel or supplier cancelation fees. J² Adventures reserves the right to adjust its terms of payment, including cancelation policies and initial deposits.
