- Welcome to Granada, the final stronghold of Moorish rule in Spain. This city is steeped in history, where centuries of Islamic, Jewish, and Christian cultures intertwined, ultimately leading to the fall of the Nasrid dynasty and the Christian Reconquest in 1492.
- Orientation dialogue with your J² Expert Educator, including an overview of your journey.
- Stop at Mirador de San Nicolás, offering panoramic views of the Alhambra against the backdrop of the Sierra Nevada. As you take in the breathtaking scenery, reflect on Granada’s rich cultural tapestry, where Jewish heritage remains an essential yet often forgotten thread.

- Welcome dinner.
- The Kaleidoscope That is Spain: Tour the Alhambra Palace and Generalife Gardens. The palace exhibits Spain’s most significant and well known Islamic architecture, together with 16th-century and later Christian building and garden interventions. The Alhambra is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
- Visit the Albaicin, an old Moorish neighborhood, with cozy narrow streets and charming white houses full of local color (now a UNESCO World Heritage site).
- Jewish History in the Shadows: Guided visit to the Realejo, the former Jewish Quarter and the site of the original town bearing the name Garnata al-Yahud. Explore the meandering streets and traditional neighborhood, which have no tangible remains of the Jewish community, but a wealth of stories.
- Evening at leisure to explore Granada by night.

- Drive to Córdoba, the capital of the Moorish Kingdom of al-Andalus.
- Visit Córdoba’s famous Cathedral-Mosque with its 1,000 colored columns.
- Continue to the Jewish Quarter, including Plaza Tiberias and the Yehuda Halevi Square. Proceed to the Statue of Maimonides and the Maimonides Synagogue.
- Special program and ladino concert at Casa de Sefarad, dedicated to the history of the Sephardic Jews in Córdoba and Spain prior to the Inquisition and the expulsion of 1492. Meet with the people responsible for the creation of this private historical venture in the Jewish Quarter.

- Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant (hosted by Congregation Sukkat Shalom).

- Travel by AVE (high-speed) train to Madrid.
- Discover the beauty of Madrid with a panoramic tour of the city, including stops at:
- Puerta Del Sol, the center of the city.
- Plaza de España, which features a monument to Spanish novelist, poet, and playwright Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra.
- Plaza Mayor, site of multiple ‘acts of faith’- the infamous ‘auto-da-fé’ of the Spanish Inquisition.
- The San Miguel Market, famous for its sumptuous tapas dishes, with lunch on your own.
- Check into the hotel and freshen up for Shabbat.
- Shabbat service at the synagogue of the Communidad Judia Reformista. After services we will join their communal Shabbat dinner and mingle.
- Enjoy a guided tour of the Prado, one of the world's most renowned art museums and the best collection of classical art in Madrid.
- Unleash your taste buds on an exhilarating food tasting tour of Madrid's finest tapas, where you'll savor a delightful array of flavors and discover the city's culinary treasures!
- Remainder of the afternoon at leisure. You could:
- Visit the Reina Sofia museum, the go-to for modern and contemporary art afficionados.
- Shop & stroll in Madrid's most bohemian and alternative neighborhood of Chueca-Malasaña.
- Visit the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum, which houses an impressive collection of Western art, spanning from the Renaissance to Pop Art.
- Relax at the Central Park of Madrid: Take a walk or hop on a bike and pedal through a wonderland of fascinating monuments, serene lakes, and secret gardens at the Retiro Park of Madrid, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. If you prefer to take to the water, the Retiro Park Lake also offers rowing boats for rental.
- Visit the Royal Palace.
- Ben Kodesh Lechol: Havdalah.
- Depart for Toledo, which remains much as it was in the 16th century, and begin with a panoramic tour of the city.
- Tour through the Jewish Quarter, including the Samuel Halevi Abulafia Synagogue, which was turned into a church known as Nuestra Señora del Tránisito, the Sephardic Museum, and the Santa Maria La Blanca Church (formerly the Grand Synagogue).
- Visit the Church of Santo Tomé which was constructed on the site of an 11th-century mosque.
- Return to Madrid.
- Visit the Sephardic-Israeli Center, situated in the historic Palacio Canete. Founded in 2006, the center aims to promote the rich legacy of Sephardic history and to raise awareness of the political, economic, social, and cultural circumstances of Jewish communities worldwide, including those in Israel and Spain.
- Continue to the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium in Madrid, home to the famous Real Madrid football team.
- Immerse yourself in the vibrant world of flamenco with a workshop designed for all skill levels. Led by experienced dancers, this hands-on experience introduces you to the passion and intricacies of this traditional Spanish art form and promises an unforgettable journey into the heart of flamenco, celebrating its rhythm, emotion, and rich heritage.

- Amendments to the program: In the event that any sites, programs or meals etc. are added to the program, an additional fee may be required.
- Personal extras: Items of personal nature such as laundry, wines, mineral water, beverages, coffee, tea, food other than the table d’hotel menu, passport and visa fees, insurance, and foreign port taxes, unless otherwise specified.
- US and foreign airport taxes, Q fuel surcharge and border taxes when applicable.

- Validity | All prices quoted are based on exchange rates as of the proposal date and are subject to change without notice. Rates are per person and are based on shared twin room occupancy.
- How to Make a Reservation | The quickest way to make a reservation is to register online or contact us by email. We accept VISA, MasterCard, and American Express credit cards. A non-refundable deposit of $1,000 is required in order to complete the registration process.

- Payments | The balance of your payment is due 120 days before your trip begins, or as specified in your invoice. You will receive an email reminder 2 weeks before this date. Various payment options are available as follows:
- Credit card | We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express. Please check with your credit card provider regarding international processing fees. We are unable to process payments of over $1,000 over the phone. Please submit payment online via a credit card or by wiring funds via your bank.
- Domestic bank wire transfer | Payment should be wired in the same currency that is listed on your invoice. Please add the name of your group or invoice number as a reference and forward a copy of the transfer receipt by email. The bank transfer should clearly state the beneficiary’s name on the wire transfer.
- J² Adventures reserves the right to automatically cancel your reservation on that date and it may be subject to reconfirmation should the final payment not be received.
- Cancelation Policy | All cancelations need to be made in writing. The cancelation fee depends on the date when we receive written notification of your request to cancel your booking. Please note that the deposit is non-refundable.
- Cancelation fees | Cancelations made 120 or more days prior to departure incur the loss of the deposit. Cancelations made 119 to 46 days prior to departure incur the loss of 50% of the full trip cost. Cancelations made 45 days or less prior to the departure incur the loss of 100% of the full trip cost.
- Cancelation fees may also include: Hotel or supplier cancelation fees. J² Adventures reserves the right to adjust its terms of payment, including cancelation policies and initial deposits.
- Protect yourself from fraud by being cautious and vigilant when it comes to online theft. It is crucial to note that J² adventures will never send an email requesting you to transfer funds to a new account or to redirect a payment. We will never alter our account number or issue additional payment requests without first personally speaking to you and properly identifying ourselves. If you feel uncertain about any communication (scammers often impersonate legitimate companies via e-mail or by calling), halt and contact us directly through our toll-free number listed on our website to discuss any necessary payments. Refrain from responding to suspicious emails or clicking on links or attachments unless you are completely certain of their legitimacy. By following these guidelines and staying vigilant, you can significantly reduce your risk of becoming a victim of fraud.
