INTRODUCTION TO BUENOS AIRES

  • 8:00 a.m. Arrive at Buenos Aires International Airport on American Airlines Flight #997.
  • Orientation with your J² Expert Educator & local guide.
  • Take time to enjoy lunch on your own at the San Telmo Market while experiencing the rich sights, aromas, and flavors of Buenos Aires’ historic San Telmo neighborhood.
  • Enjoy a guided tour of Buenos Aires, including:
    • Avenida de Mayo that runs into the Plaza De Mayo, which is surrounded by the Casa Rosada (Government House).
    • The Metropolitan Cathedral and the Cabildo (first City Hall, built during Spanish rule).
    • The Congress Building, located at the other end of Avenida de Mayo.
  • Visit the workshop of Mirta Kupferminc, a renowned multidisciplinary Argentine artist whose work explores identity, memory, migration, and Jewish culture through more than 100 solo exhibitions and numerous international biennials. In her studio, she has created landmark works such as the AMIA memorial and leads influential initiatives.

DAY 3
JEWISH LIFE IN BUENOS AIRES

  • Explore the “Once District,” a neighborhood that houses the majority of Jewish institutions in Buenos Aires, including the Hebraica JCC, numerous synagogues, Jewish theaters, Jewish schools, and rabbinical seminaries.
  • Stop at the site of the terrorist bombing at the AMIA in 1994, see the new building, as well as the memorial dedicated to the 89 victims.
  • Immerse in a cultural experience at the Instituto Judío de Investigaciones (IWO), Argentina’s leading institution dedicated to preserving and promoting Jewish history, culture, and heritage.
  • Visit the Holocaust Museum in Buenos Aires, delving into how the history of the Holocaust reverberated through Argentina.
  • Tikkun Olam: Meet with a representative of the Tzedaka Foundation to learn about their impactful work. Established to support Argentina's development, the foundation has brought meaningful improvements to the lives of thousands of vulnerable and at-risk Argentinians.
  • 4:30 p.m. Return to the hotel.

DAY 4
NATURAL WONDERS: THE MAGIC OF IGUAZU

  • 5:30 a.m. Early morning transfer to the airport for your flight to Puerto Iguazu.
  • 8:10 a.m. Depart Buenos Aires local airport.
  • 10:05 a.m. Arrive in Iguazu, home to one of the world’s most breathtaking waterfalls.
  • Witness the unique convergence of three countries at the "Triple Frontier," where Argentina, Brazil, and Paraguay meet.
  • Visit La Aripuca, a fascinating cultural and ecological center designed to preserve and showcase the traditions of the indigenous Guarani people while promoting environmental sustainability. Built from massive reclaimed tree trunks, this striking structure serves as both a symbol of conservation and a tribute to Argentina’s rich natural heritage.
  • Lunch at a Aqva.
  • Check into the hotel.
  • Relax and enjoy the hotel’s amenities, followed by a casual dinner on your own.

DAY 5
ADVENTURE & AWE: IGUAZU FALLS UP-CLOSE

  • 8:00 a.m. Depart the hotel.
  • Board a gas-propelled train to the Upper Falls Circuit and walk along the Devil’s Throat, the most dramatic section of Iguazu Falls.
  • Explore the Iguazu River Canyon via the upper and lower circuits, where waterfalls, lush jungle, and exotic wildlife create a breathtaking scene.
  • Lunch on own.
  • Jungle Safari Adventure: Ride an all-terrain truck through the subtropical forest and embark on a thrilling boat ride under Iguazu Falls for a once-in-a-lifetime adrenaline rush.
  • Return to the hotel for relaxation.

DAY 6
COMING TOGETHER
Fri. Dec 12, 2025
  • 7:00 p.m. Check out of the hotel and transfer to the airport for your flight back to Buenos Aires.
  • 9:15 a.m. Depart Iguazu.
  • 11:15 a.m. Arrive in Buenos Aires.
  • Quick stop at the memorial park dedicated to honoring the victims of state terrorism, commemorating those who were unlawfully detained, disappeared, and killed by the state between 1969 and 1983.
  • Enjoy Lunch on own at "Costanera Norte".
  • Enjoy a special visit to MALBA, the Latin American Art Museum of Buenos Aires, which houses the works of many well-known Latin American artists.
  • Argentina is the birthplace of the tango. Led by a professional tango dancer, you will learn to tango like a local while hearing about the history of the dance and the role it plays in everyday life.
  • Check into the hotel to get ready for Shabbat.
  • 6:15 p.m. Depart the hotel.
  • Kabbalat Shabbat at Amijai Synagogue, followed by a communal dinner with local congregants.

DAY 7
ART, HISTORY & THE SOUL OF BUENOS AIRES

  • Morning at leisure.
  • 12:30 p.m. Shabbat lunch at the hotel.
  • Walking tour of Recoleta, one of Buenos Aires' most elegant neighborhoods, home to designer boutiques and the famous Recoleta Cemetery, where Eva Perón is buried.
  • Pay tribute at the Israeli Embassy Memorial, honoring the victims of the 1992 bombing.
  • Mark the end of Shabbat with a special havdalah ceremony.
  • Evening at leisure for time to explore Palermo Soho on own.

A DAY IN TIGRE: NATURE & COMMUNITY

  • 8:00 a.m. Depart for a day-trip to Tigre, a popular weekend gateway on the outskirts of the city, very popular amongst the Jewish community of Buenos Aires. The Tigre Delta is one of the most attractive areas for visitors due to its rivers, streams, and numerous green islands.
  • Take a cruise along the channels of the Parana-Delta to enjoy the lush scenery.
  • Lunch at the Jewish Club Hacoaj for an opportunity to learn more about Argentinian Jewry – past, present, and future – and meet with members of the community.
  • 5:00 pm.m. Return to the hotel.
  • 7:30 p.m. Depart the hotel.
  • The Argentine Experience is a unique dining experience. You will learn about Argentine culture, taste fantastic local dishes, and drink exceptional wine.

DAY 9
UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN

  • Check out of the hotel.
  • 9:00 a.m. Depart the hotel.
  • Explore El Ateneo Grand Splendid, one of the most beautiful bookshops in the world.
  • Stop at the Puerto Madero area, one of the largest projects ever undertaken in Buenos Aires. The former docks of the port have been converted into luminous offices, lofts, and commercial sites. Take a navigation Puerto Madero to la Boca aboard a boat in order to get a different view of the city.
  • Tour the colorful La Boca neighborhood. Stroll along "Caminito" and admire the streets filled with souvenir shops and tango dancers.
  • Visit the Jewish Museum at Libertad Synagogue, located within Buenos Aires' Grand Synagogue, to discover the rich history and cultural significance of Argentine Jewry through exhibits showcasing artifacts and photographs.
  • 2:30 p.m. Late Farewell lunch at Fuego Lento Kosher restaurant.
  • Group transfer to the airport for your return flight to the U.S. on American Airlines flight #996 departing at 10:25 p.m.

  • Validity | All prices quoted are based on exchange rates as of the proposal date and are subject to change without notice. Rates are per person and are based on shared twin room occupancy.
  • How to Make a Reservation | The quickest way to make a reservation is to register online or contact us by email. We accept VISA, MasterCard, and American Express credit cards. A non-refundable deposit of $1000 is required in order to complete the registration process.

  • Payments | The balance of your payment is due 120 days before your trip begins. You will receive an email reminder 2 weeks before this date. Various payment options are available as follows:
  • Credit card | We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express. Please check with your credit card provider regarding international processing fees. We are unable to process payments of over $1,000 over the phone. Please submit payment online via a credit card or by wiring funds via your bank.
  • Domestic bank wire transfer | Payment should be wired in the same currency that is listed on your invoice. Please add the name of your group or invoice number as a reference and forward a copy of the transfer receipt by email. The bank transfer should clearly state the beneficiary’s name on the wire transfer.
  • J² Adventures reserves the right to automatically cancel your reservation on that date and it may be subject to reconfirmation should the final payment not be received.
  • Cancelation Policy | All cancelations need to be made in writing. The cancelation fee depends on the date when we receive written notification of your request to cancel your booking. Please note that the deposit is non-refundable.
  • Cancelation fees | Cancelations made 120 or more days prior to departure incur the loss of the deposit. Cancelations made 119 to 46 days prior to departure incur the loss of 50% of the full trip cost. Cancelations made 45 days or less prior to the departure incur the loss of 100% of the full trip cost.
  • Cancelation fees may also include: Hotel or supplier cancelation fees. J² Adventures reserves the right to adjust its terms of payment, including cancelation policies and initial deposits. Please refer to the small print tab on your trip’s webpage or in your proposal for your cancelation policy and fees.
