Program Itinerary

  • Depart from the US.
Overnight: Flight
Mon. Jun 24, 2024
  • Arrive at Ben-Gurion International Airport.
  • Meet your tour educator who will accompany you on this journey of education and inspiration.
  • Drive to Tel Aviv.
  • Stop at the Jaffa lookout over Tel Aviv and for the traditional “Shehechiyanu” blessing of thanksgiving.
  • Understanding the Context: Looking back to October 7th and towards the future with your tour educator.
  • Meet the families and the activists worried and working to bring all of Israel's hostages home. Hear their stories and ask what can I do to help.
  • Hostages Square has become a national center for the struggle for the return of the hostage. Show your support and express your solidarity with all of Israel and ask what can be done to help.
  • Check into your hotel.
  • Welcome dinner and conversation with journalist Haviv Rettig Gur, political correspondent and analyst for The Times of Israel.

Tue. Jun 25, 2024
  • Drive south to Be'er Sheva.
  • Bikur Holim: Visit Soroka Medical Center, the only major medical center in Israel’s south, and hear their response to October 7th and meet with recovering patients.
  • Continue to the Gaza Envelope and stop at Sderot, the largest town located on Israel’s border with the Gaza, to have lunch and see reality on the ground.
  • Visit the Nova Music Festival site near Re'im. The site has since been turned into a monument to those who were killed at the festival.
  • Travel to Kibbutz Kfar Aza and meet local resident Chen Kotler. Learn from Chen about the events of October 7th and their impact on her once-vibrant home.
  • Return to Tel Aviv and debrief on the day.

Wed. Jun 26, 2024
  • Israeli farmers need help now more than ever as many are currently serving on the front and farm hands are not available to cover the needs. Join the volunteer organization Leket Israel and pick fruits and vegetables for those in need.
  • Visit the Magen David Adom HQ in Ramle with the opportunity to participate in a blood drive.
  • Meet with Rabbi Galit Cohen-Kedem of Kehilat Kodesh v’Chol to hear about the work of her community throughout the war.
  • Meet 'Achim L’Neshek', a movement that was founded to protest against Democratic Reform, which pivoted their goals to become the largest civilian volunteer network on the ground today.
  • Check out local murals and graffiti and see how the current situation is reflected on the walls.

  • Check out of the hotel.
  • Mount Herzl is Israel's central military cemetery and hosts the graves of the leaders of the nation. Over the last several months, the recently fallen have joined this sacred place. Visit Mount Herzl and contend with the human price paid by Israeli families and the country in the Israel-Hamas War. Join the daily morning kaddish dedicated to the memories of our fallen soldiers.
  • Drive through the Israeli “Capitol Hill”: along the Knesset – Israel’s Parliament and its famous Menorah, the Supreme Court building, the Prime Minister’s Office, the Israeli National Bank, and the Israel National Library. Tour the grounds of Israel’s “Capitol Hill”: the Rose Garden, featuring more than 400 species of roses imported from all around the world; The Knesset – Israel’s Parliament building and its famous Menorah – Israel’s symbol monument built from bronze; The Supreme Court – designed to reflect Jewish and democratic values of justice.
  • Experience the sights, smells, and tastes of Jerusalem while walking through the Mahane Yehuda open-air market.
  • What Lifts Us UP: Visit the Azrat Yisrael, the pluralistic prayer area along the Kotel (Western Wall) for a communal moment led by Rabbi Jason Fenster.
  • Meet with Rabbi Oded Mazor, from Kol Haneshema, for a study session and discussion as the journey ends.
  • Enjoy a farewell dinner at a local restaurant and take the time to reflect on your time in Israel.
  • Transfer to Ben Gurion International Airport and check in for your flight.

What to expect

  • 3 nights' accommodations.
  • 4 days of touring with a J² Expert Educator (guide), 4 days of touring in a luxury, air-conditioned bus.

  • US and foreign airport taxes, Q fuel surcharge and border taxes when applicable.
  • Value Added Tax is currently not applicable to tourists visiting Israel. Should the law change, you will be notified accordingly, and VAT will be added to your final invoice.

  • Validity | All prices quoted are based on exchange rates as of the proposal date and are subject to change without notice. Rates are per person and are based on shared twin room occupancy.
  • How to Make a Reservation | The quickest way to make a reservation is to register online or contact us by email. We accept VISA, MasterCard, and American Express credit cards. A non-refundable deposit of $500 is required in order to complete the registration process.

  • Payments | The balance of your payment is due on June 9, 2024, or as specified in your invoice. You will receive an email reminder 2 weeks before this date. Various payment options are available as follows:
    • Credit card | We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express. Please check with your credit card provider regarding international processing fees. We are unable to process payments of over $1,000 over the phone. Please submit payment online via a credit card or by wiring funds via your bank.
    • Domestic bank wire transfer | Payment should be wired in the same currency that is listed on your invoice. Please add the name of your group or invoice number as a reference and forward a copy of the transfer receipt by email. The bank transfer should clearly state the beneficiary’s name on the wire transfer.
  • J² Adventures reserves the right to automatically cancel your reservation on that date and it may be subject to reconfirmation should the final payment not be received.
  • Cancelation Policy | All cancelations need to be made in writing. The cancelation fee depends on the date when we receive written notification of your request to cancel your booking. Please note that the deposit is non-refundable.
  • Cancelation fees | Cancelations made 89 to 46 days prior to departure incur the loss of 50% of the full trip cost. Cancelations made 45 days or less prior to the departure incur the loss of 100% of the full trip cost.
  • Cancelation fees may also include: Hotel or supplier cancelation fees. J² Adventures reserves the right to adjust its terms of payment, including cancelation policies and initial deposits.
  • Mobility: Solidarity missions are specifically strenuous, and our visits include places that are inaccessible to people who may have mobility challenges. You should be in good health and able to walk reasonable distances, often over unpaved and uneven surfaces. PLEASE NOTE: In some cases you may need to run to a shelter, if you have questions regarding this matter please speak to a J² representative.
