WELCOME TO ISRAEL: BEGINNING OUR JOURNEY
Mon. Jun 14, 2027
  • Arrive at Ben Gurion Airport and receive a warm Israeli welcome.
  • Transfer together to Tel Aviv and stop at the Jaffa lookout for an introduction to Tel Aviv and to our journey in Israel.
  • Gather for a festive welcome dinner at a local restaurant. Through guided conversation and interactive activities, we will share personal goals, hopes, and intentions for the journey ahead, setting the tone for a week of exploration and bonding.

DAY 3
TEL AVIV CREATIVITY AND ANCIENT CAESAREA
Tue. Jun 15, 2027
  • Check out of the hotel.
  • Dive into Tel Aviv’s vibrant urban culture with a hands-on graffiti workshop and street art tour. Students will explore how art becomes a vehicle for identity, protest, and social expression, and create something of their own.
  • Continue to Levinsky Market, where food becomes culture. Taste spices, sweets, and specialties from across the Mediterranean and Middle East while learning how waves of immigration have shaped Israeli society.
  • Explore Nachalat Binyamin, Tel Aviv’s arts and crafts market, before continuing to Carmel Market.
  • Continue to Caesarea to walk among breathtaking Roman ruins overlooking the sea. Through archaeology and storytelling, explore how layers of history shape identity.
  • Check into the hotel and gather for dinner.

DAY 4
MYSTIC SAFED, WATER, AND NORTHERN ADVENTURE
Wed. Jun 16, 2027
  • Explore Tzfat (Safed), the mystical mountaintop city that became the center of Jewish spirituality and Kabbalah in the 16th century. Wander its cobblestone alleyways and visit historic synagogues connected to the Ari and Rabbi Yosef Karo.
  • Take a nature hike at the Tel Dan Nature Reserve, a beautiful and serene spot in the Upper Galilee. Tour the remains of a 5,000-year-old city and learn why water is like gold in the parched Middle East.
  • Paddle down the Jordan River by raft or kayak, adding fun and adventure to your northern experience before returning to your hotel.
  • Return to the hotel and gather for dinner.
  • Adults: Meet with a research expert from the Alma Research and Education Center at a lookout near the northern border.
  • Children: Israeli game night at the hotel.

DAY 5
ANCIENT JEWISH LIFE AND ARRIVAL IN JERUSALEM

  • Check out of the hotel and drive toward Israel’s capital.
  • Visit Zippori National Park, known for its extraordinary ancient mosaics and its central role in Jewish life after the destruction of the Second Temple.
  • Continue to Kfar Kedem in the Galilee for a hands-on family experience exploring Jewish life 2,000 years ago, including donkey rides, costumes, and pita baking.
  • Stop at Mount Scopus in Jerusalem for a traditional Shehechiyanu blessing of thanksgiving before checking into the hotel.

DAY 6
JERUSALEM: ANCIENT STONES AND SHABBAT WELCOME

  • Explore the Jewish Quarter, including the Western Wall and the Jerusalem Archaeological Park, where ancient stones tell stories of sovereignty, exile, and return.
  • Walk through the Western Wall Tunnel, the underground continuation of the Kotel, and examine important archaeological discoveries that continue to reshape our understanding of daily life in ancient Jerusalem.
  • Return to the hotel to prepare for Shabbat.
  • Celebrate Kabbalat Shabbat at Kehillat Mevasseret in Mevasseret Zion, led by Rabbi Lana Zilberman Soloway, followed by a meaningful home hospitality dinner.

MASADA, EIN GEDI, AND THE DEAD SEA

  • Travel through the Judean Desert to Masada. Ascend by cable car and explore the dramatic story of courage, resilience, and identity atop this ancient fortress.
  • Hike in Nahal David, part of the Ein Gedi Nature Reserve.
  • Continue to the Dead Sea for time to float and experience its remarkable buoyancy — a joyful and unforgettable shared moment.
  • Return to Jerusalem and gather for a communal Havdalah ceremony overlooking the illuminated Old City, marking the transition from Shabbat with song and reflection.

MEMORY, COMMUNITY, AND GIVING BACK

  • Adults: Join Professor Reuven Hazan of the Political Science Department at Hebrew University for an introduction to Israel's dynamic and complex political landscape.
  • Children: Explore the pastoral neighborhoods of Yemin Moshe and Mishkenot Sha'ananim, where Sir Moses Montefiore established the famous windmill and one of Jerusalem’s first neighborhoods outside the Old City walls.
  • Check out of the hotel.
  • Adults: Visit Yad Vashem, Israel’s national memorial to the six million Jewish victims of the Holocaust, including the Historical Museum, the Avenue of the Righteous Among the Nations, and the Children’s Memorial.

  • Explore Machane Yehuda Market, savoring the flavors and energy of Jerusalem one final time and picking up treats to bring home.

  • Plant trees at the Jerusalem Bird Observatory, physically rooting your presence in the land and symbolically investing in the future.

    • Validity | All prices quoted are based on exchange rates as of the proposal date and are subject to change without notice. Rates are per person and are based on shared twin room occupancy.
    • How to Make a Reservation | The quickest way to make a reservation is to register online or contact us by email. We accept VISA, MasterCard, and American Express credit cards. A non-refundable deposit of $675 is required in order to complete the registration process.

  • Payments | The balance of your payment is due 90 days before your trip begins, or as specified in your invoice. You will receive an email reminder 2 weeks before this date. Various payment options are available as follows:
    • Credit card | We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express. Please check with your credit card provider regarding international processing fees. We are unable to process payments of over $1,000 over the phone. Please submit payment online via a credit card or by wiring funds via your bank.
    • Domestic bank wire transfer | Payment should be wired in the same currency that is listed on your invoice. Please add the name of your group or invoice number as a reference and forward a copy of the transfer receipt by email. The bank transfer should clearly state the beneficiary’s name on the wire transfer.
  • J² Adventures reserves the right to automatically cancel your reservation on that date and it may be subject to reconfirmation should the final payment not be received.
  • Cancelation Policy | All cancelations need to be made in writing. The cancelation fee depends on the date when we receive written notification of your request to cancel your booking. Please note that the deposit is non-refundable.
    • Cancelation fees | Cancelations made 90 or more days prior to departure incur the loss of the deposit. Cancelations made 89 to 46 days prior to departure incur the loss of 50% of the full trip cost. Cancelations made 45 days or less prior to the departure incur the loss of 100% of the full trip cost.
    • Cancelation fees may also include: Hotel or supplier cancelation fees. J² Adventures reserves the right to adjust its terms of payment, including cancelation policies and initial deposits.
