ARRIVAL & FIRST IMPRESSIONS OF BUENOS AIRES
Mon. Mar 8, 2027
  • 10:00 a.m. Arrive at Buenos Aires International Airport.
  • Meet your local guide and your J² Expert Educator.
  • Start at the Puerto Madero area, one of the largest projects ever undertaken in Buenos Aires. The former docks of the port have been converted into luminous offices, lofts, and commercial sites. The visit will include a 20-minute navigation of Puerto Madero aboard a premium boat in order to get a different view of the city.
  • Enjoy time for lunch on own at the San Telmo Market, a lively marketplace filled with artisan crafts, antiques, and delicious local cuisine.
  • Continue with an introduction tour to the heart of Buenos Aires:
    • Walk through Plaza de Mayo, the city’s political and historical center, and admire the iconic Casa Rosada, Argentina’s presidential palace.
    • Discover the Metropolitan Cathedral and the Cabildo, two architectural landmarks that offer insight into Argentina’s colonial past and independence movement.
    • Take in the grandeur of the Congress Building, one of Buenos Aires’ most stunning neoclassical structures.
  • Check in at your hotel.
  • Come together for a welcome kosher dinner where your J² Expert Educator will provide insights into Argentina’s Jewish history and cultural landscape.

DAY 3
CELEBRATING JEWISH LIFE IN BUENOS AIRES

  • Meet with a representative of the Latin American Jewish Congress to gain insight into Jewish life and interfaith coexistence in Latin America.
  • Visit Scholem Aleijem School, a cornerstone of Jewish education in Buenos Aires, and meet with the school’s Israeli emissary.
  • Walk through the Once District, home to synagogues, Jewish theaters, and seminaries.
  • Pay respects at the AMIA bombing site and learn about its impact on the community.
  • Visit the Libertad Synagogue and Jewish Museum, home to significant artifacts and exhibits that tell the story of Argentina’s Jewish community.
  • Tour the Holocaust Museum and engage in a meaningful conversation with a Holocaust survivor.

NATURAL WONDERS: THE MAGIC OF IGUAZU
Wed. Mar 10, 2027
  • Check out and early morning transfer to the airport for your flight to Puerto Iguazu.
  • Welcome to Iguazu and come together to experience the unique convergence of three countries at the "Triple Frontera," the Triple Frontier, where the tri-borders of Argentina, Brazil, and Paraguay meet.
  • Lunch at a restaurant.
  • Immerse yourself in nature with a guided tour of La Aripuca, a cultural and ecological center dedicated to showcasing the Guarani indigenous culture. Featuring a giant replica of a traditional indigenous trap, the site emphasizes environmental awareness and cultural preservation. Built from rescued tree trunks, it serves as a symbol of sustainability, offering visitors the chance to explore guided tours, discover local crafts, and enjoy regional products.

ADVENTURE & AWE: IGUAZU FALLS UP-CLOSE

  • Begin your day with a scenic ride aboard a gas-propelled train to the Upper Falls Circuit. From here, walk along the famous Devil’s Throat, the most dramatic section of Iguazu Falls, offering breathtaking views of the cascades from above.
  • Continue your exploration along both the Upper and Lower Circuits of the Iguazu River Canyon, where you’ll experience the beauty of lush jungle, exotic wildlife, and the roaring waterfalls.
  • Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.
  • Embark on a thrilling Jungle Safari Adventure, riding an all-terrain truck through the subtropical forest, followed by a boat ride that takes you under the falls for an exhilarating and up-close experience with the cascading waters.
  • Return to the hotel in the afternoon to relax after a day of adventure.
  • In the evening, partake in "The Argentine Experience", an immersive event where you’ll learn to make traditional empanadas, taste Argentina’s finest wines, and discover the country’s rich cultural traditions.

  • Check out and fly back to Buenos Aires.
  • Stroll through La Boca and Caminito Street, a lively neighborhood filled with colorful houses, street performers, and tango dancers, reflecting the immigrant roots of Buenos Aires.
  • Free time for lunch on own in this lively neighborhood.
  • Meeting and discussion at the Seminario Rabínico Latinoamericano, a leading institution for Conservative Jewish education and rabbinical training in Latin America.

    Meet with the US ambassador at the US Embassy for a conversation on Jewish advocacy and Argentina-US relations.
  • Check into your hotel and freshen up for Shabbat.
  • Celebrate Kabbalat Shabbat at Amijai Synagogue, where Rabbi Alejandro Avruj will lead the service in a welcoming community setting.
  • Enjoy a Shabbat dinner with members of Buenos Aires’ Jewish community, sharing traditions, stories, and connections.

SHABBAT & ELEGANCE IN BUENOS AIRES

  • Visit Recoleta Cemetery, the final resting place of Argentina’s most famous figures, including Eva Perón.
  • Stop at the Israeli Embassy Memorial to pay tribute to the victims of the 1992 bombing.
  • Mark the end of Shabbat with a special havdalah ceremony in a meaningful setting.

A DAY IN TIGRE: NATURE & COMMUNITY

  • Depart for a day-trip to Tigre, a popular weekend gateway on the outskirts of the city, very popular amongst the Jewish community of Buenos Aires. The Tigre Delta is one of the most attractive areas for visitors due to its rivers, streams, and numerous green islands.
  • Lunch at the Jewish Club Hacoaj for an opportunity to learn more about Argentinian Jewry – past, present, and future – and meet with members of the community.
  • Take a cruise along the channels of the Parana-Delta to enjoy the lush scenery.
  • Argentina is the birthplace of the tango. Led by a professional tango dancer, you will learn to tango like a local while hearing about the history of the dance and the role it plays in everyday life.
  • Free time for dinner on own in Palermo Soho, Buenos Aires’ trendiest district, or return to the hotel.

TRADITION AND NATURE ON THE PAMPAS

  • Check out of the hotel and depart the city for the day to experience Gaucho culture. Gauchos became emblematic of resilience and independence, embodying a rugged spirit that resonates through Argentine culture to this day.
  • Enjoy a farewell lunch with a traditional Argentine BBQ (Kosher).
  • Take part in a folklore show, and watch the gauchos show off their incredible riding skills.
  • Transfer to Buenos Aires International Airport for your flight home.

  • Validity | All prices quoted are based on exchange rates as of the proposal date and are subject to change without notice. Rates are per person and are based on shared twin room occupancy.
  • How to Make a Reservation | The quickest way to make a reservation is to register online or contact us by email. We accept VISA, MasterCard, and American Express credit cards. A non-refundable deposit of $1,000 is required in order to complete the registration process.

  • Payments | The balance of your payment is due 120 days before your trip begins, or as specified in your invoice. You will receive an email reminder 2 weeks before this date. Various payment options are available as follows:
    • Credit card | We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express. Please check with your credit card provider regarding international processing fees. We are unable to process payments of over $1,000 over the phone. Please submit payment online via a credit card or by wiring funds via your bank.
    • Domestic bank wire transfer | Payment should be wired in the same currency that is listed on your invoice. Please add the name of your group or invoice number as a reference and forward a copy of the transfer receipt by email. The bank transfer should clearly state the beneficiary’s name on the wire transfer.
  • J² Adventures reserves the right to automatically cancel your reservation on that date and it may be subject to reconfirmation should the final payment not be received.
  • Cancelation Policy | All cancelations need to be made in writing. The cancelation fee depends on the date when we receive written notification of your request to cancel your booking. Please note that the deposit is non-refundable.
  • Cancelation fees | Cancelations made 120 or more days prior to departure incur the loss of the deposit. Cancelations made 119 to 46 days prior to departure incur the loss of 50% of the full trip cost. Cancelations made 45 days or less prior to the departure incur the loss of 100% of the full trip cost.
  • Cancelation fees may also include: Hotel or supplier cancelation fees. J² Adventures reserves the right to adjust its terms of payment, including cancelation policies and initial deposits.
