Program Itinerary

Sun. May 26, 2024
  • Depart the US.
Overnight: Flight
Mon. May 27, 2024
  • Arrive at Ben-Gurion International Airport.
  • Meet your J² Expert Educator who will accompany you throughout your mission.
  • Drive to Tel Aviv.
  • Stop at the Jaffa lookout over Tel Aviv and for the traditional “Shehechiyanu” blessing of thanksgiving.
  • Understanding the Context: Looking back to October 7th and towards the future with your tour educator.
  • Hostages Square has become a national center for the struggle for the return of the hostage. Show your support and express your solidarity with all of Israel and ask what can be done to help.
  • Welcome dinner and a talk with journalist Avi Mayer, former editor-in-chief of the Jerusalem Post, who will provide a briefing about the latest developments in the region.

Tue. May 28, 2024
  • Drive south to Be'er Sheva.
  • Bikur Holim: Visit Soroka Medical Center, the only major medical center in Israel’s south, and hear their response to October 7th and meet with recovering patients.
  • Continue to the Gaza Envelope and stop at the site of the Nova Festival near Kibbutz Re'im.
  • Walk through the remains of Kibbutz Kfar Aza with a member of the community as they share stories of this once-vibrant home.
  • Visit Sderot, the largest town located on Israel’s border with the Gaza, see reality on the ground.
  • Return to the hotel and debrief on the day.

Wed. May 29, 2024
  • Drive to Jerusalem.
  • What Lifts Us Up: Begin the day with a moment of prayer led by Rabbi Rick Kellner, Rabbi David Spinrad and Cantor Jason Kaufman at the pluralistic prayer area along the Western Wall - Azarat Yisrael followed by a stop at the Western Wall.
  • Have a discussion with Orly Erez-Likhovski from IRAC (Israel Religious Action Center) to learn about social justice initiatives in Israel in the wake of October 7th.
  • Enjoy lunch on own while experiencing the people along the sights, smells, and tastes of Jerusalem while walking through the Mahane Yehuda open-air market.
  • Mount Herzl is Israel's central military cemetery and hosts the graves of the leaders of the nation. Over the last several months, the recently fallen have joined this sacred place. Visit Mount Herzl the National Memorial Hall for Israel's Fallen to contend with the human price paid by Israeli families and the country in the Israel-Hamas War.
  • Solidarity is about lending a hand. Prepare and cook meals for soldiers and their families with Rabbi Rinat Sefania and Kehilat V'Ahavta, the Reform community in Shoham.
  • Return to Tel Aviv.

Thu. May 30, 2024
  • Meet with 'Brothers and Sisters in Arms' - one of the leading organizations of reserve soldiers and officers who headed the 2023 protest movement and created the largest civilian relief center after Oct 7th.
  • Check out of the hotel.
  • Project 24 – The New Kibbutz Re'im – tells the story of communities displaced by the Hamas attack on Israel on October 7, 2023. Hear how the members of Kibbutz Re'im are working to sustain the community and supply meaningful outlets for youth and adults, all while keeping the dream of returning home alive.
  • Drive to Ramle and visit Magen David Adom's National Operations Center.
  • Farewell dinner at a local restaurant.
  • Transfer to the airport for your flight back to the US.

What to expect

  • 3 nights' accommodations.
  • 4 days of touring with a J² Expert Educator (guide) in a luxury, air-conditioned bus.
  • Daily breakfast & 2 dinners.
  • The J² adventures App available on the App Store & on Google Play (active 7 days before your departure and throughout your trip).
  • 1 Security guard on May 28.

  • US and foreign airport taxes, Q fuel surcharge and border taxes when applicable.
  • Value Added Tax is currently not applicable to tourists visiting Israel. Should the law change, you will be notified accordingly, and VAT will be added to your final invoice.

  • Validity | All prices quoted are based on exchange rates as of the proposal date and are subject to change without notice. Rates are per person and are based on shared twin room occupancy.
  • How to Make a Reservation | The quickest way to make a reservation is to register online or contact us by email. We accept VISA, MasterCard, and American Express credit cards. A non-refundable deposit of $500 is required in order to complete the registration process.
  • For any assistance with this registration process or other trip-related queries, please email Customer Care:
  • Payments | The balance of your payment is due on May 1 or as specified in your invoice. You will receive an email reminder 2 weeks before this date. Various payment options are available as follows:
    • Credit card | We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express. Please check with your credit card provider regarding international processing fees. We are unable to process payments of over $1,000 over the phone. Please submit payment online via a credit card or by wiring funds via your bank.
    • Domestic bank wire transfer | Payment should be wired in the same currency that is listed on your invoice. Please add the name of your group or invoice number as a reference and forward a copy of the transfer receipt by email. The bank transfer should clearly state the beneficiary’s name on the wire transfer.
  • J² Adventures reserves the right to automatically cancel your reservation on that date and it may be subject to reconfirmation should the final payment not be received.
  • Cancelation Policy | All cancelations need to be made in writing. The cancelation fee depends on the date when we receive written notification of your request to cancel your booking. Please note that the deposit is non-refundable.
  • Cancelation fees | Cancelations made 45 days or less prior to the departure incur the loss of 100% of the full trip cost.
  • Cancelation fees may also include: Hotel or supplier cancelation fees. J² Adventures reserves the right to adjust its terms of payment, including cancelation policies and initial deposits.
  • Mobility: Solidarity missions are specifically strenuous, and our visits include places that are inaccessible to people who may have mobility challenges. You should be in good health and able to walk reasonable distances, often over unpaved and uneven surfaces. PLEASE NOTE: In some cases you may need to run to a shelter, if you have questions regarding this matter please speak to a J² representative.
