DAY 1
TOUCHDOWN IN TEL AVIV & SHABBAT BY THE SEA
Fri. Dec 25, 2026
  • Arrive at Ben-Gurion International Airport and feel the excitement of landing in Israel.
  • Meet your J² Expert Educator, your guide through this journey of discovery and inspiration.
  • Transfer to Tel Aviv and check into your hotel.
  • Gather on the Mediterranean shore for a shehecheyanu moment, marking our arrival in Israel together.
  • Kabbalat Shabbat services on the beach led by Rabbi Brusso, with song and sunset over the sea.
  • Festive private Shabbat dinner at the hotel – blessings, singing, and introductions.

DAY 2
SHABBAT STORIES, STREET ART & TEL AVIV MAGIC
Sat. Dec 26, 2026
  • Morning at leisure. Option to attend Shabbat morning services at a nearby Masorti (Conservative) synagogue for those who wish.
  • Shabbat lunch at the hotel.
  • Late afternoon, follow the Independence Trail, tracing the story of Tel Aviv and the founding of the State of Israel.
  • Continue with a graffiti and street art tour in the trendy neighborhoods of Tel Aviv, discovering how artists express the city’s culture and politics on its walls – great for teens and photographers.
  • Havdallah together as Shabbat departs and the city lights up.
  • Evening at leisure in Tel Aviv – enjoy cafés, the port, or ice cream with the kids.

DAY 3
GIVING BACK, ANCIENT SHORES & DRUZE WELCOME
Sun. Dec 27, 2026
  • Check out of the hotel and head out for a morning of volunteering with Leket Israel, Israel’s national food bank – glean fields or pack produce for families in need.
  • Travel up the coast to Caesarea, Herod’s magnificent port city: explore the ancient theater, hippodrome, and seaside ruins where Roman and Jewish history meet.
  • Continue to the Carmel region and the Druze village of Isfiya for home hospitality and a traditional Druze dinner at El Carmel – enjoy warm hospitality, delicious food, and hear about Druze culture and identity.
  • Drive into the Upper Galilee and check into a Kibbutz Hotel surrounded by lush northern landscapes.

DAY 4
MYSTICAL TZFAT, BORDER VIEWS & NORTHERN NATURE
Mon. Dec 28, 2026
  • Visit Tzfat (Safed), center of Jewish mysticism: wander its cobbled alleyways, artist galleries, and synagogues filled with stories of Kabbalah and resilience.
  • Travel to Kibbutz Misgav Am, perched on the Lebanese border, for a dramatic overlook into Lebanon and a conversation with a local resident about life on the frontier.
  • Head to Tel Dan for a family-friendly hike along springs and ancient ruins, where Bible and nature blend in a beautiful reserve.
  • Enjoy a guided wine tasting at a local boutique winery in Northern Israel, where you’ll sample regional vintages while learning about the area’s unique terroir and winemaking traditions, while a separate, age-appropriate activity will be offered for youth and children.
  • Return to the kibbutz for dinner at the hotel.
  • Evening parallel programs:
    • Adults: Security and regional overview with an Alma Research and Education Center expert on Israel’s northern borders and current realities.
    • Kids/Teens: Movie night and snacks back at the hotel.

DAY 5
JOURNEY TO JERUSALEM & WALKING THE ANCIENT WALLS
Tue. Dec 29, 2026
  • Check out and begin the journey south to Jerusalem.
  • Enter the Old City of Jerusalem, pausing to say the traditional blessing upon seeing the city.
  • Ascend to the rooftop of the Tower of David for a breathtaking panoramic view over Jerusalem, past and present.
  • Walk along sections of the Old City Ramparts, imagining ancient defenses and enjoying unique vantage points over the quarters.
  • Time to explore the Jewish Quarter: Cardo, synagogues, shops, and alleyways full of history.
  • Evening free for dinner on your own – explore the restaurants and cafés of Jerusalem.

DAY 6
DESERT DRAMA: MASADA, OASIS BEAUTY & DEAD SEA FLOAT
Wed. Dec 30, 2026
  • Early departure through the Judean Desert to the Masada fortress. Ascend by cable car, hear the dramatic story of the Zealots, and explore the archaeological remains.
  • Continue to Ein Gedi, the desert oasis where David once hid from Saul – short walk and time to enjoy the natural beauty.
  • Relax and float in the Dead Sea, the lowest place on earth – mud, minerals, and family photo ops.
  • Return to Jerusalem in the late afternoon.
  • Evening at leisure in the city.

DAY 7
B’NAI MITZVAH MILESTONE & HANDS-ON JERUSALEM
Thu. Dec 31, 2026
  • Morning B’nai Mitzvah service at Ezrat Yisrael, the egalitarian section of the Kotel – celebrate together with song, aliyot, and blessings overlooking the Western Wall.
  • Explore the Jerusalem Archaeological Park and Davidson Center, where ancient stones tell the story of the Temple and daily life in Second Temple times.
  • Take part in a tree-planting experience at the Jerusalem Bird Observatory, connecting environmental stewardship with Jewish values.
  • Head to Machaneh Yehudah market for lunch on your own – taste your way through Israel’s most famous shuk with stalls of spices, pastries, and fresh produce.
  • Give back with a shift at Pantry Packers, packing food packages for needy families in Jerusalem.
  • Late afternoon visit to Yad Vashem for adults and older teens who wish to engage more deeply with Holocaust memory (younger children can enjoy time at the Inbal Hotel pool).
  • Evening at leisure.

DAY 8
DIGGING INTO HISTORY OR WITNESSING RESILIENCE: A DAY OF CHOICE
Fri. Jan 1, 2027
  • Family Track:
    • Travel to Beit Guvrin for “Dig for a Day”, an archaeological experience where kids and adults uncover pottery and artifacts from real ancient caves – then crawl and explore the underground tunnels.
    • Stop in the Ella Valley, traditionally associated with the battle between David and Goliath, to bring biblical stories to life.
  • Adult Track:
    • Head south to the Gaza Envelope region for a powerful educational visit.
    • Visit Kfar Aza, meet with local residents or community representatives, and hear firsthand stories of resilience and rebuilding.
    • Visit the NOVA festival site, a moving space of memory and reflection.
  • All Together:
    • Return to Jerusalem and prepare for Shabbat.
    • Kabbalat Shabbat services (location TBD).
    • Festive Shabbat dinner at the hotel with singing, sharing highlights of the week, and time together as a multigenerational community.

DAY 9
SHABBAT SERENITY, JERUSALEM VIEWS & FAREWELL TO ISRAEL
Sat. Jan 2, 2027
  • Morning at leisure with the option to attend Shabbat services at various Jerusalem synagogues (Masorti and others) according to interest.
  • Shabbat lunch at the hotel.
  • Late afternoon walking tour of Mishkenot Sha’ananim and Yemin Moshe, Jerusalem’s first neighborhoods outside the Old City walls, with beautiful views over the Old City and the windmill.
  • Gather for a final community Havdallah, marking the end of Shabbat and the close of our journey with song and gratitude.
  • Late check-out from the hotel, followed by a farewell dinner in Jerusalem, sharing reflections and favorite moments.
  • Transfer to the airport for your return flight to the U.S.

    • Validity | All prices quoted are based on exchange rates as of the proposal date and are subject to change without notice. Rates are per person and are based on shared twin room occupancy.
    • How to Make a Reservation | The quickest way to make a reservation is to register online or contact us by email. We accept VISA, MasterCard, and American Express credit cards. A non-refundable deposit of $500 is required in order to complete the registration process.

  • Payments | The balance of your payment is due 90 days before your trip begins, or as specified in your invoice. You will receive an email reminder 2 weeks before this date. Various payment options are available as follows:
    • Credit card | We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express. Please check with your credit card provider regarding international processing fees. We are unable to process payments of over $1,000 over the phone. Please submit payment online via a credit card or by wiring funds via your bank.
    • Domestic bank wire transfer | Payment should be wired in the same currency that is listed on your invoice. Please add the name of your group or invoice number as a reference and forward a copy of the transfer receipt by email. The bank transfer should clearly state the beneficiary’s name on the wire transfer.
  • J² Adventures reserves the right to automatically cancel your reservation on that date and it may be subject to reconfirmation should the final payment not be received.
  • Cancelation Policy | All cancelations need to be made in writing. The cancelation fee depends on the date when we receive written notification of your request to cancel your booking. Please note that the deposit is non-refundable.
    • Cancelation fees | Cancelations made 90 or more days prior to departure incur the loss of the deposit. Cancelations made 89 to 46 days prior to departure incur the loss of 50% of the full trip cost. Cancelations made 45 days or less prior to the departure incur the loss of 100% of the full trip cost.
    • Cancelation fees may also include: Hotel or supplier cancelation fees. J² Adventures reserves the right to adjust its terms of payment, including cancelation policies and initial deposits.
